I had a very troubling experience at Basil Bowl. I ordered the basil fried rice lunch during my 30-minute work break. While eating in the parking lot, I found a staple in my food. That is completely unacceptable and a serious health code violation.
I immediately returned the food and was given a new order, which I appreciated. However, my lunch break was already over, and the entire situation was unsettling. Later in the day, I returned after 3 PM to request a refund. I was told I couldn’t get one. The staff member I spoke with was dismissive, showed no concern for the severity of the situation, and refused to provide any way to contact the owner or higher management.
Finding a staple in food is dangerous and should not be brushed off. The lack of accountability and professionalism shown was extremely disappointing. I will not be returning and would urge others to be cautious. This could have caused real harm if swallowed — it’s not just a mistake, it’s a...
Read moreOn Monday, February 3rd, around 7:00 PM, we dined at Basil Bowl and wanted to share some feedback regarding our experience. From the start, the cashier’s unfriendly attitude set a negative tone. After placing an order for three dine-in meals, I paid with my credit card. Given that Basil Bowl does not offer table service—operating more like a Panera Bread-style establishment—an automatic 18% gratuity seems excessive. With the 2025 tax exemption on tips, this charge felt unjustified. The lack of communication about this policy before payment added to our frustration.
I strongly recommend that customers be made aware of these charges in advance. Also, diners should be prepared to clean their own tables before and pick up their dishes...

The ambiance strikes a balance between chic and comfortable, making it a great spot for both casual lunches and dinners.
The highlight of Basil Bowl is undoubtedly its creative fusion dishes. While the adventurous foodie in me applauded their culinary daring, not all combinations hit the mark. Some dishes, like the Tom Kha Ramen, felt more like a clash of titans than a harmonious blend.
Service at Basil Bowl is prompt and friendly, adding to the overall...
