On 9-1-23, I came to dine in at approximately 8:45pm, inside dining was not packed, upon arrival I was greeted and seated fast… I had a very polite and friendly server, he was super funny and accommodating, he placed our orders and gave us good recommendations…our bread came out fast, and our salads came out shortly after…..
We waited 35 mins for our alcoholic beverages, mines was full of ice, to the point I had to take some out so it wouldn’t dilute my drink… As we were drinking, my potato soup came out, it was lukewarm, runny and shouldn’t have been served because of the consistency, A manager come over to the table …
Upon arrival she did notice that the soup wasn’t up to company standards, you could tell by her demeanor that she had an attitude from the start, she took the soup off the bill, gave us two complimentary coupons for an appetizer and 10% off our bill
One hour later, our food came out, I ordered the Alice Spring chicken and my daughter ordered a steak medium well, as I was eating my chicken it was good must I admit, but it wasn’t fully cooked, it had pink left in the center…
The supervisor came to the table, I showed her the chicken. She told me it didn’t look pink to her, she said I’m not trying to be funny, but the glasses you have on, have a pink tint to them… that’s why it may look pink… you should take them off and look at the chicken that’s why it may look pink to you. My daughter was on the phone and off because she couldn’t believe what she told me, We were both applauded . I wear prescription glasses, and I have a stigmatism in both of my eyes.
I was taking my daughter out for birthday and this is not what I expected, per her request for a medium well steak was tougher than rubber she could barely cut through it, we felt as if she thought we wanted a free meal, that wasn’t the case we wanted a good meal and properly prepared food..
My daughter asked for another manager because she stormed off and was upset because our food wasn’t right, we didn’t disrespect her or get loud, shortly afterwards another manager came to the table, he was very pleasant, I explained to him what happened and he was in disbelief about everything, I have been coming to this location since 2000 when it was down the street in the plaza, I always loved the food and service there, this experience was unacceptable…
The Store manager took the food off the bill and gave us a food credit for our next visit, Our server was amazing, I honestly don’t think I will visit this store again… The store manager was very professional and handled the situation well, I came in for a good meal, and left with...
Read moreMy husband and I went to dine there on a Friday night. We hadn’t been there in a while because we previously hadn’t been impressed with food or service, but we thought we’d give it another chance. We were sat by a wonderful manager and that is where the wonderful ended. We waited way too long for our server to greet us, if you can call it a greeting. All he said was”Im going to be taking care of you, what do you guys want to drink.” I ordered my pop. When I realized my husband was getting a beer, I changed my drink to a margarita and canceled my pop. My pop still arrived, fine no big deal, I’ll still drink it, but technically I had changed my order. Thank goodness we ordered water, cause if not we would have been sitting there waiting forever for our bar drinks, which I had to flag down a manager for, who ended up bringing me a watered down margarita. We ordered our meals along with our drinks, which our meals also took forever to come out, which in a not very busy restaurant was way too long. The meal was the only redeeming part of the whole experience, even though my husband had requested his sweet potato not be loaded, but it came loaded. The server came over to check to see how our meals were when we were almost all way done with them. Before we were even finished with our meals our server asked if we were paying “cash or card”, cut his nose off despite his face and didn’t ask if we wanted anything else and dropped our bill, while we were still eating…RUDE. We could have wanted another drink or some dessert if we were asked, or enticed to. Side Note: I know what color my servers underwater was this evening, red, because he wasn’t wearing a belt and his pants were falling down below his backside. As a former server and bartender this experience was not pleasant and definitely wasn’t the kind of service I would ever give if I expected people to tip me for my income. My baseline for tipping starts at 20-25%, but I can tell you that I fell way short of that this evening. Again definitely not impressed and probably won’t return again for a very long time, if ever. The bus person that took away the plates that the server left on the table when we we’re done was more pleasant and efficient than our server was throughout...
Read moreWe had kind of a disappointing visit. We understand that adequate staffing is more difficult post pandemic, but it had a negative impact on our experience. We sat at the bar and had a beer while waiting for our table and could see the bartender was busy hustling and serving food, so we know that is a factor in what happened later. We got seated at our table and ordered another beer and our entrees at the same time, and the waitress was pleasant and mentioned bringing out bread. So far, service was a little slow due to the bartender running around, but understandable. Our bread was served in a reasonable time, but our beers easily took a half hour, and it was nearly impossible to get our waitresses' attention to inquire. She was busy, too, but never stopped back to check at all. In the meantime, what we think was a busboy dropped off our entrees while we had never gotten our salads. The waitress just happened to be coming by, so my girlfriend inquired about the salads. The waitress told the busboy that our salads hadn't come out yet and he went to retrieve them. Just to remind you, still no beers. The busboy brought out soup and a salad, wrong order. We had two salads. My girlfriend stated, "Oh, that's not our order," while the busboy and waitress were still in the area. The busboy took extreme offense and asked that she "not yell at him." There was no yelling, and as my girlfriend told him, he would know if she was yelling. At this point, the waitress told him to stop arguing with customers, and he retorted, "You told me 18." There was some tension between the two, and it seemed like he was maybe helping bring food out, and this wasn't his normal job. Possibly due to understaffing. Outback needs to be careful with how its locations are managed daily. Some people shouldn't be interacting with the customers. The waitress apologized for the slow beers and blamed it on the bartender, and went to check on them. Finally, beer. We did talk to the manager, and on the good side, he took the beers off our bill and gave us the incorrect soup and a loaf of bread. Overall, it was not our best trip to the...
