Multiple reasons. When we first checked in they gave us the wrong room. We called the reception desk after we found out and they put me on hold for 15 minutes. I then decided to re pack and go to the reception desk. Where Charissa claimed that it was planned that they gave me the wrong room because they were over booked and the had no way to inform me. Even though she was the one who checked us in and didn't say anything to us not even offering us the room rate of the smaller room. Our original room was a king size room with fold out queen bed. We got a king size bed with no queen fold out bed. They then claimed it was Expedia fault. We booked threw booking.com. They also claimed they were overbook but at the time the parking lot was empty. I then asked to speak with the manager. After about another 20 minutes the manager came out. Basically stated the same claims but stated she will check to see if can find us our originally booked room. After about another 30 minutes she stated she found us an upgraded room and all we have to do is wait for it to be cleaned. At this point I was happy but not for long. 5 minutes later she told us the room was ready and handed us our cards. We get to the room it was filthy only thing that was cleaned was the bed. It was not an upgraded room it was the one we originally booked. 10 minutes later while I was changing a housekeeper just walked in our room immediately apologized and left. I believe this was to clean the room and we were given our card too early given the state of the room. At this point I was ready to leave. The only thing that kept me at this facility was my daughter and her excitement to swim. So I did what any good dad would do and just stayed straighten up the room my self and went on with my day. Day two requested new towels was told to look for housekeeper on our floor or bring them down to switch out. No housekeeper was on the floor so I came to the reception get a switch out and got scolded by Charissa that I was to put the towels outside my door and was to only pick up the clean ones from the reception desk. So I follow the instructions and went on with my day. Later that night needed another roll of toilet paper so called front desk was told to come down stairs to get pick it up and then was told they couldn't find any and the gave me a box of tissue!!!!! Overall worse Hotel experience of my life. That is why I'm ratting 1 out...

One of the most discraceful disgusting hotels I've ever been to. I've seen super 8s in better condition with better staff. Like where do you even begin? Started right off the bat with no one at the front desk when I went to check in. Had to go hunt down a person to get checked in at a prime check-in time. Most of the time I went by their desk it was never staffed. AC in the room did not work. Found a poop stain on the toilet seat. Found black hairs all over the shower wall. Housekeeping obviously does not pay attention to detail here. Breakfast was very slim. I get that it's a free breakfast, but the Holiday Inn Express serves a much better hot free breakfast than this place. It's obvious it's managers and owners are cutting corners to save money. No creamer for the coffee and it had a funky taste to the coffee as well. I asked the breakfast lady. Is it possible they have any more creamer for the coffee she goes? I'm not really sure about that. After breakfast I went to go use the hot tub and the whole entire pool room was trashed and disgusting piles of water everywhere. Only a couple towels stacked. Decided to use the hot tub anyway and after being in there 5 minutes the manager said you have to leave because we haven't cleaned this room yet. Yep, the pool room was unlocked and it was well past the opening time of the pool and hot tub. Went to go take a shower, and water pressure is very weak. The rooms seem to be stuck on one temperature no matter where you set the thermostat. It stayed pretty much at that temp AC didn't start working until the morning when we were getting ready to check out and we heard it kick on finally . Speaking of the AC unit, I decided to check the filters in it and I don't think they've been clean for quite some time. I'm not even sure this hotel has a maintenance department . The bathroom has a poor layout as it has no place for hanging hand towels for washing your. If you are a Hilton fan, do not go here and expect the quality of a typical Hilton. You'll be highly disappointed. Hilton should yank this hotel's flag as they do not...

4/6/25 For the most part, the stay was fine… HOWEVER. Room 415 has roaches. Or as least A roach.

Friday night alone, the people next to us were blaring music, and it sounded like a party going on in there. We heard many voices, not just the one or two you’d expect to hear if any.

My friend and I were staying this Friday-Sunday for some classes at school craft, we live an hour and some change away so just staying the weekend felt like it made more sense. Sunday morning, we went down for breakfast, came back up. I opened the cabinet to the fridge to get one of my energy drinks, and a roach was on the door of the cabinet. It ran into the HARDWARE on the cabinet in between the cabinet wood. The room looked clean, it LOOKED fine, but those suckers hide. It scared the daylight out of me. Had we known it sooner than our last day here, I would have just asked for a different room or some sort of compensation. We check out in 2 hours, I’m worried I’m gonna see a roach again now. I put a photo of where it went, but it literally crawled into the cabinets from that metal hardware.

Other than that, the room seemed clean, Saturday night was quiet, the breakfast was delicious (I loved the kiwi juice and mini waffles!!), the pool was decent. Overall a good stay, minus the noisy neighbors and roaches.

UPDATE: 4/8/25 Called the hotel twice since 4/6/25, didn’t even get ahold of the person in charge like they told me to. They issued me “points” on their app that’ll cover ONE night (even though the roach was in our room and around our food all weekend without us knowing). Which, this is the first time I’ve booked a hotel in YEARS, so why they’re assuming I’d come back to use those points is a wild concept to me. Especially with how “helpful” and degrading of the situation they’ve been. If its any consolation, save your money, book an airbnb or anywhere else but here because god forbid something happens, they aren’t giving you your money back.

Tell me you’re going broke as a business without telling me you’re going broke...

A price discrepancy is the only reason this is not a 5-star review. I looked up place from Google Maps, and the quote was $123 for the night, but when I called to book it, the total payment they wanted was $317... when I asked, they told me the rate was $179 a night, plus $150 deposit, then taxes/fees. Sneaky bait and switch tactic gives you a bit of a shock when the bill almost triples. Otherwise, our overnight stay was excellent. The place looked very well kept, our room was clean, and the air conditioning worked wonderful. With how brief our stay was, we were unable to take advantage of the pool/hot tub or the 24-hour fitness center. I had called very late in the evening to arrange for the room and was still greeted pleasantly. We needed either a ground floor room or one with elevator access for a elderly disabled senior citizen. They placed us on the second floor right by the elevator closest to the reception / breakfast area, which was much appreciated when we came down in the morning to eat. Our room had a big tv, mini fridge hidden in a cabinet, microwave, single cup coffee maker, ironing board, hair dryer, even provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion! Although I loved the barn style door for the bathroom/closet, it was a bit of a struggle to operate as it was heavy/hard to move. Be warned that some people couldn't move it. Breakfast offered a lot of various options, both hot and cold, enough for everyone to find something they like. Cereal, oatmeal, eggs, chicken sausage, waffles, bagels, yogurt, muffins, coffee, tea, juice.... there was a little section by the reception desk with more al cart items you could purchase like soda, candy, ice cream, and even microwave meals. Overall, it is an excellent place to stay; just be prepared to cover a much higher bill upfront as those deposit refunds can take time to return to your bank account.
