Panera Bread — Restaurant in Livonia

Panera, near Middlebelt and I96, has really grown in the last handful of years! There is a drive through, a self-ordering menu, and delivery! Customers simply cannot expect their orders to be filled as fast as McDonalds. Panera's baked goods are done in house over night to prepare for the day. I can imagine the difficulty keeping up with that demand! I had a large order yesterday, and I noticed a customer who came in after me was done before me. He was known by name, so I think he is a working man in the area and Panera takes good care of him. I like that and I don't care where "my place in line" is. My order was correct and delicious. BEST MAC N CHEESE EVER!!!! An employee apologized several times for how long it took but I thought that was completely unnecessary- it takes me much longer to do all that at home for my family! I am grateful to be served by caring people. The menu was totally new to me because I hadn't been in town for a long time. The man taking my order talked to me about what food I like and how I like it, with a smile, and sincerely made sure I was getting what I needed and wanted. That's above and beyond, in my opinion. My old best friend works here and I saw him working hard too, to prepare food, even though he's an upper management guy. You rock! Panera has a lot to live up to and I pray their customers will come in with patience, gratitude, and respect for the employees and the very challenging job they have to serve their community, especially with this new (great!)...

It honestly pains me to give a poor review But start to finish this Panera disappointed with our Lu ch visit today. There was 4 of us, we ordered 4 Things, and received poorly put together food, bad service, and a poorly Maintained, foul smelling restaurant . A $7 sandwich that was supposed to have avocado on it had less than a sliver. When I pointed it out, manager tried to argue that it was a quarter avocado to Which I replied saying I’ve been having this sandwich at Panera for a long time and that a slice is not a quarter avocado . She then proceeded to demonstrate what a quarter avocado looks like and it turns out it was double of what was served in my sandwich. instead of apologizing she decided to just ignore the situation, and act like she was doing my family A favor but providing the apt amount of food that we paid for. Wow! Restaurant smelled poorly the whole visit and not one employee (not one) crack even a faint smiled the entire series of Interactions we had the whole time we ordered, received our food, spoke with the team, and dined there. Even the new croque monsieur sandwich that we were excited to try was tart and poorly made. What a waste of money and disheartening experience at a restaurant...

Frequently try to eat here but it's difficult to. Most of the time all of the tables are dirty so you'll have to clean them yourselves. Takes a long time to get your order and when you do most of the time it's incorrect or missing stuff. I just wish it was cleaner and more accurately fast paced. 9/12/22 Update. Went through the drive thru and waited over 40 minutes for our food and when we returned to eat we found out they put a rotten avocado on top of everything! Had to drive back to the store. I was greeted vy hailey who was great! She got a manager for me who came from the back looked at it and said its an avocado and I showed her where it was blue and black..... She said she would remake it and walked away. Mind you at this point over an hour and twenties minutes of my time had been wasted at this point. The manager never even introduced herself! I asked an accosiate what her name was and I was told Amy. Amy failed to take care of the issue and then when I got back a second time I found out they didn't remake the food but tried to get the rotten parts out....
