Chicken Express — Restaurant in Lockhart

Lack of professionalism and proper customer service. I was inconvenienced with raw fish last night, and I did not want to drive back since we had a storm approaching. I called and talked the manager who was very apologetic and offered to remake my order and I could come another day. I ended up only being able to eat my okra because the coleslaw was spoiled as well. Well being the person I am I took my food back this morning; there was another manager present. I let her know what happened and who I spoke to. I could see that last night's manager did write my name and order down and that the meal needed to be replaced. She questioned that, and I told her that my meal was supposed to be remade. She got an attitude and the questioned me about the number of sauces I had as if I didn't bring all of the back!?! I was taken back by the question. Still she had an attitude and reluctantly called out my order. It looks like new staff and managers. This is the second time we have stopped by on our way out of town. This is also the second time we have thrown most of the food out as it was disgusting.

The people being the counter just look angry. I get it. You work fast food. However it's a job you choose. Be happy you have a job and smile once in a while.

We ordered two chicken legs, and when we bit into them, they tasted like either the grease or the chicken were bad. They were disgusting. This is what you do. No matter if you are having a bad day or you hate your job, the customer should never see it. Plus, you are serving food. I was driving through Lockhart, TX a couple of days ago and was hungry for some fried chicken tenders. I saw the Golden Chicken restaurant but the traffic was such that I had to pass it by. I wasn't really happy about that even though I'm not very fond of GC's chicken because I'd set my mind on having fried chicken ! Then...I saw Chicken Express just down the road and I am so glad I did! I'd not had the Chicken Express chicken before and was extremely pleased with it! It tasted freshly cooked, was hot, the batter was light and not greasy, the tenders were moist and not dry, and the flavor was fantastic! I will definitely be getting my fried chicken from Chicken Express...
