Donut Palace — Restaurant in Lockhart

I've only had good experiences until today, and even then, it's not a huge deal.

I bought some Thai Teas and took them to work. They were incredibly bitter even when stirred and had an aftertaste like pennies. I tried calling since I couldn't return to the store and they kept hanging up on me. At first I thought it was my phone, but it absolutely sounded like someone was picking up, listening and then hanging up. When I pulled up earlier, it looked like the whole family was there, so someone should have been able to communicate, right? Why have a phone number?

Anyway, the young dude at the window was absolutely awesome, so 10/10 for window customer service.

What a great place. I usually just drive through lockhart to get from the Nixon area to Austin, but I needed donuts for the office one morning and stopped in hoping for the best. There was a group of folks hanging out at 6 in the morning and a generally warm and inviting atmosphere-felt like a family place. The donuts were a success at the office and they really were tasty! The folks there were able to accommodate a last minute and reasonably larger order with grace. I look forward to helping support a small business in my community and will definitely be...

Love this place. The Kolaches are so good. Not sure if there is anything here I don't like but Kolaches are by far my favorite. The Apple Fritters are just perfect. The donuts, plain glazed or chocolate iced, donut holes....they are all a win if you ask me. The croissants especially the Ham and Cheese are amazing. Like I said....everything is so great from here. You can't order wrong.
