Panera Bread — Restaurant in Lockport

if i could give this panera restaurant 6 stars i would; this is by far without a doubt the best panera bread i have ever been to and i have been to a lot! it is always clean and i mean always. every worker there that i have interacted with is so nice, bubbly, welcoming, and extremely helpful. the food is always on point, i have yet to find something made poorly or even that i didnt like! my favorite is the chicken noodle soup and frontega chicken sammie, a delicious combo. (the accompanying photo i have included is the turkey bravo sandwich which would definitely be my cold sandwich go to.) if youre a mac and cheese fan try the one with bacon, just trust me lol. my personal opinion is that their coffee is better than starbucks or dunkin donuts but i mean everyone has their personal preferences so i guess its subjective. their agave lemonade is super tasty and was oh so good on that super humid past sunday that we had, and if you go halfsies with the iced tea thats good too. i havent had their breakfast so i cannot comment on that, but i have heard that its yummy. i do know i love their brownies and cookies though! maybe too much lol. if you like having plenty of electrical outlets theres definitely no shortage here, with one at probably (or close to) every table if you would like to charge your phone or get some work done on your laptop. and dont worry, its usually relatively quiet noise-wise so you shouldnt be too distracted. oh and i witnessed the restaurant manager, i believe his name is jeff, going up to make sure everyones order is correct and that customers are enjoying their meals and are comfortable...i like that, it says a lot about a place. and dont forget a hoodie! it can be a bit chilly in there but hey better than being hot! you can always put more on but only take so much off! but if youre looking for a good coffee/sandwich/soup/salad place in lockport, this in my opinion is the best choice and would highly recommend. and do yourself a favor and look into the sip club, you wont regret...

Worst experience ever here. As a local for many years I come here quite often and enjoy staying in the cafe of occasionally using the app for takeout. The app was down, no problem. Go inside to order on the kiosk and that’s having an issue. Okay no problem, so we go to order up front. The Manager Olga took our order and it seemed like she didn’t know what she was doing, had to repeat things multiple times because she couldn’t find the buttons. Anyway, of course she missed multiple things on our $50+ order so I had to verify with the kitchen staff that it would be made correct. Only to find out that she had put our order for dine in and didn’t even try spelling my name that I spelled out letter for letter for her since I know it can be difficult. 30 minutes later I go to check on my order which of course had been sitting out so I had told them that I specifically asked for to go since it was just me and my boyfriend picking up multiple orders. They took everything and packaged it to go, I made sure to check everything was good to go only to find out our bowl of Mac and cheese was half full, the sandwich was missing olives the salad had the dressing on it which I specifically asked for it on the side and they gave me a green and hard apple. Not a problem, I had kindly asked that they fix my order…. They said they could redo the salad and give me my sandwich topping on the side but the rest they cannot do because the “Mac and cheese was proportioned” we grabbed the cup size bowl before we left to see how much more we were actually getting for the extra payment but realized it was only a small spoonful more. Absolutely ridiculous customer service and experience. I understand having to wait due to the system and having additional orders but all I expect when waiting 30+ minutes for our food is for it to at...

Today I was disappointed in our meal- I raved about Lockport to a friend and brought her here. Her half salad bowl was only filled about 1/3 of the bowl. She asked for dressing on side however salad was drenched. My lime avocado salad ingredients were fresh as was the warm bread! However my salad was drenched too.I couldn’t eat more than a few bites. I approached the manager Josh and told him in the spirit of being helpful, our results. He told us they used the 2 scoops of dressing like they are supposed to. Other than him telling us next time to tell him right away, he did not offer to correct the offer. I left my barely touched salad, packed up my sandwich (which I later ate and it was delicious!). My friend quietly ate her salad because she didn’t want to embarrass me. Everyone can have an off day, but felt he could have at least offered to make an adjustment.

Young cashier Jordyn, was absolutely pleasant and competent. If only the manager cared a bit more to make 2 Seniors happy with the product we were served.

I still believe Lockport Panera outshines Frankfort and Orland Park and is a welcome business to the area. Today was just one of those off...
