Today is the first time I tried this restaurant and I couldn't be more excited about giving it a review. This is by far some of the best pizza that I have had in years and although I live an hour away from Altoona, I plan on making this restaurant a place that I regularly go to when I'm in the Altoona area. The pizza was delicious and there are many different pizzas to choose from. You can order it by the slice (the slices are decently sized.) Or you can order whole pizzas. You can find many different options such as pepperoni, cheese, supreme, margarita, and even Sicilian pizza. The thin crust is crispy and fresh, the sauce is delicious, and the toppings are delicious and well portioned. The wings are also made fresh and are crispy, which isn't always the case when you go to your average chain pizza restaurants. There's also many other items on the menu if you're not in the mood for pizza. I also really enjoy the business model of this restaurant. When you enter the store, you head to a counter with a glass window. Behind the window are a large variety of pizzas to show you your options to choose from. You can also choose to order a whole pizza or you could choose items off of the menu. Should you choose to order a slice or two, you pay for your food, then while waiting at a table they'll bring out your slices hot and fresh. This is good because it allows customers to see exactly what they'll be getting before you order. I was pleased with the pizza even before it came to my table. It looks good, and tastes even better. I highly recommend this place. You'll be missing out on some great pizza if you pass this place up. Now, I've noticed on the map that there are other restaurants named Dino's Pizza in Altoona. This one that I am reviewing is the location in the plaza directly across from Barnes and Noble. Whether those other locations are related I do not know, but I can certainly recommend this location. Also, Google states that this restaurant is takeout only currently. This is out of date as the restaurant as of the time I am typing this, has both indoor and outdoor dining available. So if you're looking for either a place to carry out or dine in, this place has both options, and I highly recommd trying this...
Read moreI have been going to Dino’s ever since it opened but I will no longer order from there. I walked in and clearly stated that I wanted 2 of the 2 slice specials and 2 additional slices. There was no one in line but when I got to the counter, the bald guy at the counter rang up 6 slices ( no specials) which I didn’t realize until I asked for my 2 cups for drinks. He was so rude and told me I didn’t tell him even though I never got a chance to because he already had it totaled up. When I said the total was already done, he slammed 2 cups on the counter and mumbled something. The guys behind the counter never spoke up for me when I ordered the specials at the order window. They just watched the whole thing. That bald guy was so rude and embarrassed me in front of the staff and people eating there. I walked out with no drinks. They need to learn how to treat people. There are other Dino’s restaurants I will order...
Read moreIf I could give those place zero stars I would! I recently visited Dino’s in Altoona , and I have to say, I was really disappointed. The staff was unprofessional from the start, giving me uncomfortable stares as soon as I walked in, and it felt like nobody was actually working—just standing around without any real focus on the customers. When I finally got my food, it was bland and unappetizing, definitely not worth the price. The whole experience left me feeling uncomfortable, and I couldn’t wait to leave. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for good food or a welcoming atmosphere.Half of the workers had unpleasant piercings on their face that made them look like a bull and their hair was colored like they were apart of the rainbow and it made me uncomfortable because the girl taking my order seemed appealed by my appearance and in no means am...
