The food is pretty darn good, but let me tell you why this is a three star rating. Every. Single. Time. We go there. We get jipped on the meat! This particular location is EXTREMELY stingy on the meat! Why??? If you tell them up front that you want extra meat, then you will get the four ounces of meat that it's supposed to be to begin with...MAYBE! The other day, my husband went there and they assumed that he was ordering Veggie salads and didn't ask what kind of meat he wanted. When he realized the problem, their way of making up for this was to take the TINY little sauce cups and fill up ONE of them for each salad!! So, we pay extra for steak, and we get enough steak to be gone in one bite. It's not fair, and if it doesn't turn around, we will stop going there and encourage everyone we know to do the same.
People talk. People compare notes. I already know some who have had this same problem consistently who refuse to go there anymore. We even had points for free food, and these people refused to go because of the principle of the matter. ADVICE TO MANAGEMENT: If your business model is to cheat people by not giving them the amount of meat that you bank on when you're looking at your P&L's, then you're not going to last too much longer, and that is a fact! You're doing well enough in volume of sales, so if you can't measure correctly, then I'd say err on the side of giving out a bit too much. I doubt that you'll get any complaints about that!
You know the saying, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me?" Well, I feel like a darn fool because we order from this place 2-3 times per week, knowing that we're going to get ripped off every time. The only reason we do so is because we like the taste, and the ingredients are all fresh. But, we can find that at Cafe Rio, along with shrimp on Tuesdays and grilled salmon every day! Please get...
Read moreI really hate to give low scores. I'm not that type of person. Anyway. I just moved here from outta state too and I have ate at different Costa Vida's in my time. This location is so so. It's in a great spot and lots of foot traffic. The inside was clean. The food was a different story. The chicken was over cooked and dry and hard. The portions were tiny! One small scoop of rice, small scoop of beans, my enchilada was tiny. I had to ask for lettuce, salsa, guacamole and sour cream just to make the portions normal size. My daughter's quesadilla was just as bad. They gave her a tiny one and only a small bit of rice and beans. They didn't even ask her if she wanted lettuce, tomatoes, guac or sour cream. When we asked for it for her the gal seemed super annoyed. She kept staring at my daughter, who is disabled. That's not ok either. Made us super uncomfortable. We went to check out and we were charged extra for the toppings I asked for ! The meal looked nothing like the menu board or commercials. It was awful. The customer service there is awful. They appeared not to want to be there, honestly. When I got up to leave I accidentally dropped the sauce bottle and it shattered. They gave me a death glare for doing that and seemed put of with me. I didn't mean to drop it, I'm in a leg cast. Geez. I found out there is another Costa Vida's in Logan at a different location. I'll try that one out next time. I wouldn't mind going back here if they would fix the food, the food portions and the customer service. And not be rude to my daughter or service...
Read moreThere is no love in the food being made here. The staff have been horrible, annoyed or put out when I ask to repeat. I can't hear very well because if how loud it is, and the food is Sub par. I hate when my friends want to go eat here because I have only had a few good experiences here and they were years ago. I am done wasting my money here, and buying my GF a iceberg lettuce "veggie salad" I don't understand the fascination with this place, and so wish their sweet pork burrito was good. This, last time the staff were pretty horrible, and I kept my mouth shut because my girlfriend is,so sweet and I didn't want to be a drag on our night out together. She sat down at the table and said she couldn't believe how awful all the staff was. The only lady who made eye contact and smiled was the lady pressing tortillas. So I said simply, the food here is made without love. She agreed, it was thrown together and the staff were jerks. I know I sound like a grumpy old man, but I was super kind as we went through, apologised when I asked them to repeat themselves. Seriously they were so bugged. I'm done here, and I'm sorry for the terrible review, but your place is terrible, and not just this time, but most...
