We purchased a sectional and a dining table set back in March. We have a big out of state move coming up, so when we purchased these items, we requested them to be ordered in NEW for us so they would come in original boxes and packaging for easier transport. We specifically did NOT want to purchase the floor model sectional. We proceeded with the purchase, and they informed us that the items would be ordered in, and they would be happy to let us know when they arrived, and store them for us there in the warehouse until we were ready to pick them up. We called several times to check on the status of our order because they never contacted us, but they NEVER answered their phones. We finally had to just go back into the store to talk to someone. When we asked if our items had arrived to the warehouse yet, we were informed that our table had arrived, and that they had the FLOOR MODEL sectional stored in the back for us. We specifically had indicated we did NOT want the floor model, and wanted it ordered in NEW in the BOXES, which they said they could do no problem. Turns out they had ordered several sets of that sectional in, and gave them all to different customers. They denied the fact that they GAVE OURS AWAY. We were left with no choice but taking the floor model, because it is now out of stock and can't be ordered. Obviously we were frustrated, and they weren't very sympathetic or understanding. They offered to get the sectional wrapped up nicely for us for our move. Fast forward to this week. We still could not get ahold of them by phone, so we went in to the store on a Tuesday to let them know we were ready to come pick up our sectional, and asked when they could have it wrapped and ready for us. The guy told us we could come back the following afternoon and it would be ready. My husband went to pick it up the next day, and of course, they DIDN'T have it ready. They sloppily threw on some plastic bags, slapped on some tape, and called it good. My husband had to take multiple trips, so he figured while he was dropping off one load, they would get the next one ready. NOPE. He went back for the next load, and they didn't prepare it. So once again they sloppily threw on a plastic bag and more tape. We are going to have to rewrap these ourselves for our move because they did a poor job. I paid for my couch in full on 11/25/23 being assured my couch would be there by Christmas, New Years at the latest. Those dates came and went with no word. I started calling and asking the status of my couch and got the "it's not here and it's not at the factory, so it must be on the truck somewhere" multiple times before they just stopped answering the phone all together. 2 months pass by with no idea and very little attempt to help or check on the salesman's account. We go to the store in person, the salesman gets someone else to answer a question for him only to find out the couch hasn't been ordered 2 months after receiving payment due to negligence. I did not think it was too much to ask to look up the status of a custom couch. 11-25-2023 to 1-26-24 without being ordered. Any attempt at tracking the couch during this time was futile.
We make a follow up visit roughly a month later and talk to the owner who immediately passes blame to the factory for the delay. We already knew they never ordered the couch in the first place. We were offered a deal on delivery being I live in Utah County. We were also offered a discount price on an off color green couch as well as a refund. I did not take the refund because I felt it was an easy out on their end and an attempt to wash their hands of their mistakes. I did not take the offer on the green couch because we ordered a custom couch that fit our wants and decor.
The couch arrived 4/2/24. 130 days after full payment was received. When asked about delivery they said due to a bad google review, which was not written by me, they are no longer offering me delivery after the owner offered this in person. I would highly advise anyone looking to make any significant purchase to take not only your money but your valuable time elsewhere. I grew up in a small town and this is not "small town" service. This was the worst customer service I have ever received as a paying customer. Read moreTerrible customer service! Initially it seemed like a pretty solid store... Nice selection of furniture for what seemed to be reasonable prices. I ordered a bench to match a dining set that I already had and that I needed for guests coming. I ordered with plenty of time to account for delivery. They said it would be here in 2 weeks or less. Finally, after 6 weeks and me doing all the follow up and initiating communication, I finally got the bench.
First, they ordered the wrong bench, they did not communicate that. Then they promised they would do a rush ship and it would be here sooner than it actually was, then they did not communicate that it wouldn't be. While they did offer a bigger bench for me to borrow, I declined because it was huge, and would not have fit the table or my smaller dining area. I stopped in to check on it after the promised date, and still no communication....delivery still en route. Then When I went to pick it up, I spoke with a sales employee and he was very indifferent, unapologetic and unaccommodating when I asked for a discount for the extended time, lack of customer service and Inonvenience. He very INSINCERELY "apologized", and then followed it up with... verbatim and I quote, "at this point, it is what it is." All that and then I had to assemble the bench on top of everything! Come to find out, after I found out the brand of furniture when I was putting it together, I can buy the same bench on Amazon for almost $50 less with free delivery!!!!
I'm so disappointed, and will never visit their store again, and I would urge you to exercise caution if you're thinking about it. I plan on talking to a manager and returning the bench and ordering it from Amazon if they will not be considerate and offer some type of quality customer service for the situation.
