I have been eating here for years. Even after I went on a low carb diet, we still came here on Wednesday nights for $0.59 wing night. However, I think that time has come to an end...
First was a problem a few months ago where we were over charged for our meal. We were in a hurry to leave and didn't check our bill before handing them out credit card. The next day I looked at the receipt that I had put in my pocket and noticed the error. When I brought it up to the bartender/manager she agreed that we were over-charged but said she couldn't do anything about it. She implied we should have looked at our receipt and it was our fault. So I was upset to say the least but hey, it was our weekly Wednesday spot, right?
Well tonight we go back and am told that they raised their wing price to $0.79. Ok, not THAT big of a deal, prices increase... But then our wings came. These things must have come from baby chickens because I have never seen wings so small. I am not exaggerating when I say many drums we're about 1.5 inches in length. I even noticed the waitress took them over to owner before she brought them to us to show him how small they were. However, no said anything to us... "No, hey I am sorry these are so small". It was like they hoped we wouldn't notice, but we did! When I asked the bartender/manager about it she admitted she saw them but hey, "there are 10 there and that is what you ordered"! She suggested we talk with the owner who was there. I saw her walk over, talk to him, and him seem upset he was bothered. He came over and explain that there is a chicken wing shortage and those are the only ones he could get. Pretty much I should feel lucky to get that.
Here is what pissed me off... He knew he was serving a sub-par product and chose to anyways. He went into detail about his cost and how little he makes on those wings but no where in there was a simple "I am sorry" or "can I make it right"? Worse than that, after our "chat" he went and sat back down. I noticed another table come in and one person ordered wings. Sure enough they served them the same small wings. It is proof to me they don't care what they serve or how their customers are treated. Well, I have a choice in where I eat and Johnny's will not longer be the place for me almost every Wednesday night. That is about $150-$200 a month revenue that they will lose. I am sure with some of that money you could have afforded better wings or atleast a book on how to treat...
Read moreI went in today around 2 with my boyfriend and mom. The service was pretty good we felt bad for the waitress she was by herself but was keeping up well with the tables. We ordered the buffalo chicken dip, 10 wings, and a pizza. Everything came out decently fast and was tasting good. Well… as the waitress was talking to my mom my boyfriend pulls out a long dark hair directly from the buffalo chicken dip. The server was super apologetic and immediately said I’m taking that off your bill before we even said anything besides that being disgusting. (She watched it happen) Then we start eating the pizza and my boyfriend finds a second hair embedded into the crust of the pizza, we immediately called the waitress over again and she offered to make us another one but we were very put off and asked for our bill. We didn’t even touch the wings in fear there would be another hair. The waitress wanted to take everything off the bill but we still wanted to give her a tip so asked her to at least charge us for the drinks so we could tip her. She then brought out the GM. This is where I have the most issue. He was slightly apologetic I’m sorry that happened but then started making excuses saying that they are very sanity and it must have ben from the flower bag as none of the chefs have hair. I tried to say I get that but somehow hair ended up in two dishes and we’re not happy about that. He again was getting defensive and the waitress stepped in to say well I’m taking everything off the bill and he was like no charge them for the drinks and wings. I again said we’re not eating or taking the wings there was two hairs in two separate dishes we are done here, he seemed hesitant about that but walked away. And then as we were walking out I looked into the kitchen and what do I see? A chef with a full head of hair, only a hat on and a full beard with no beard net. So we all felt that he was very defensive and didn’t own up to anything while also lying. As someone who has worked and managed restaurants their whole like that is not how you act as a manager. Just because of his response alone we will not be coming back. It was a terrible experience and very unsanitary. Shout out to our waitress whose name I unfortunately forgot you did great! Just think about who you hire as a GM maybe get him to take some customer...
Read moreI hate to have to put one star because we love going to trivia here . But tonight was the end all . The front house manager this evening was completely unprofessional and absolutely rude . It made us NEVER want to come back again.. This evening my husband and I came for trivia like we do a lot of times . My husband asked the waitress if they had their half wing special . She replied “ yes” so we ordered our 20 wings , fries and drinks. At the end of trivia we asked for the check .. to our surprise the wings were even more then the $17.99 price . The manager went on to say “ wings are more to split”. My husband and I were confused because first off we were told it was still half wing night and 2 the waitress told us we can have as many sauces ( we only had 3) ..He said Ok! SLAMS the receipt holder on the bar and walks off. Comes back and only takes whatever it was he added for splitting wings .... we said again” Sir this is still not right , They were supposed to be half off” . He then says to us very rudely and unprofessional that it isn’t half wing night it’s .79 cent wings . We said “ well we walked in , asked the waitress and I quote “ is it HALF wing night? “ her reply YES. He then shouts .. after I said “ sir the right thing to do is to honor what she told us... “I’ll take the whole thing off “... all after 10 min of arguing my husband and I in front of all the other customers around us ... Lol he then SLAMS the bill down again with the wings half off ..... If this is how Johnny’s runs their restaurant or trains their management.. I will gladly not give them anymore of...
