From out of town and ended to try a mom and pop “Chicago style”. Old Town was recommended by our hotel. Called and was told there is dine in available. There are literally 3 two person tables about the size if a dinner plate.
Staff was very friendly and willing to help with ingredients for a gluten free kiddo. We ordered a small Chicago style, small Sicilian style, gluten free pizza, Greek salad snd bread sticks. The price I was charged was NOT the price on the menu! Menu price says $13.75 plus $2.00 a topping. I paid $15.75 plus $2.50 upcharge for Chicago and Sicilian plus $2.50 a topping. I could have overlooked the pricing had it been amazing pizza.
The 12 inch gluten free ended up being about 8 inches. The owner noticed and gave us a credit. The salad was about 1/2 the box for $12! The pizzas weren’t bad they just weren’t great! There was so much dough that was bland and dry. Yes I’ve had Chicago before so I know there is a lot of dough. The sauce s also not very flavorful. Wish I would have read reviews before ordering. Then maybe we’d have gotten...
Read moreThe delivery guy was SUPER kind! But when I called the store to ask a quick question about the menu, because I was honestly a little confused, the man on the other end of the phone was rude and spoke to me as if I had a lack of intelligence. It could have been answered with a quick, polite answer but it wasn’t. (I should have believed the previous reviews that warn you of poor customer service, but I wanted to believe better.)
I ordered here because I was considering using Old Town Pizza Co. to cater my next quarterly event in the area, (it was referred to me by a local friend) but unfortunately after this experience I will not be. I couldn’t risk rude costumer service reflecting poorly on my organization.
Typically I wouldn’t post regarding poor costumer service, but I do think it’s a pretty big part of choosing to order from an establishment instead of cooking at home. I whole heartedly hope it improves; I don’t want to see anyone fail, I just want people to know all of the facts when comparing...
Read moreOrdered takeout at 5:22pm, given 30 minutes to pickup. Showed up after 35 and was told it wasn't ready. At 6:15, after nearly an hour total, I went to the counter again, and they said there was no order. I showed them my phone with the time I called their number, then I was asked for my phone number to verify, but still nothing. As a response, I got "sorry, do you want me to make it now?" Well, I've got a hungry kid waiting at home and I don't have another 30 minutes to sit around, so I guess one slice of pepperoni will have to do, which was uncharacteristically cold today. "That'll be $5.50".......
After screwing up and making a long time customer wait an hour to have to scramble to figure out dinner ideas, shrugging their shoulders as a response to this unusually poor situation may as well have been a slap in the face. Very disappointing experience that'll leave a bad taste for much longer than the typically...
