Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Lomita

Don't ever order cakes from this horrible place. I had a birthday cake ordered two days in advance, with delivery. On the delivery day, I got a message that CS is sending the cake by Uber. I saw the Uber car drive by but they didn't stop. A few minutes later I got an email that my order was cancelled entirely, without any explanations. I tried to call CS, but their phone did not respond and the voicemail was turned off. I drove to Lomita. There was a handwritten sign on the door that they would be opening an hour late, no explanations, but the door was not locked. I had to yell hello three times before a woman came out of the office. She outright told me that they did not have the size I ordered and canceled the order. I thought she must have been wrong because I had Uber tracking showing that the driver went to my house. Why would they if there was no cake?? The woman was just horrible. And they had my phone number all along if they wanted to ask if I would pay for the larger cake. They had two days. The woman just said those online orders are not her problem, turned around and walked away from me. Do yourself a favor and shop for cakes elsewhere. I paid $50 for that cake, with the delivery, taxes, and TIP (the irony of it!) That woman needs to find a job that is not customer-facing. She could not care less for...

I stop by this location every once in a while during my trips to the movie theater upstairs. After a desperate craving for strawberry ice cream, I stepped into Cold Stone about a week ago. Every time I visit, I make sure to check in on Yelp for the option of adding a free topping. This time I did the same, yet for the first time ever it seemed like a huge inconvenience for the employees working that day. As I mentioned my yelp check in, they abruptly interrupted me to rudely ask, "yeah, which do you want?" yikes! As a customer service employee myself, I understand people are hard to deal with sometimes & days are rough. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and waited to pay. At the register, the other employee was also very rude and cold towards me. It felt like I was in high school with mean girls all over again lol! I wished them both a good day, and received no responses. Will definitely consider the customer service (if) I ever go back to this location.

Terrible customer service with the staff eavesdropping in a private conversation between my husband and me. Unprofessional. The bigger staff lady proceeded to make her own ice cream creation while the poor other lady made all my orders. Gave my husband attitude over a very simple order. April 22, 2018 at 9:05pm. Before you tell us it was after closing time, there was a family in there laughing and conversing while we ordered so we weren’t causing any further delay in their closing procedures.
