After ascending a dark narrow stairwell, customers are greeted by a wonderfully airy space drenched in soothing sunlight, evoking a sense of calm and cheer. This business supports those battling mental health issues and seeks to provide a place where youth feel supported and seen. What a tremendous cause to stand behind and applaud! The owner is incredibly congenial and kind, with a heart that obviously strives to help others. The coffee shop is bright and beautiful, with phenomenal views and no shortage of windows. Parking is in ample supply, though the cafe entrance itself can be somewhat confusing for new customers. My sugar free lavender breve on ice was refreshing and not at all overly sweet. They also offer sugar free vanilla syrup on the menu, for those with dietary restrictions. The Happy Crew Coffee House makes an AMAZING french press cup! I make it a point to search for local coffee shops whenever I’m traveling, and I’m so glad I tried this place. Their positive teen mental health mission and business friendly concepts are what lured me in. It IS a bit difficult to find, as they don’t have a large on-building sign. The simple entrance is a single door on the west, street facing, side of the building (there are smaller ground signs when you get close). You’ll need to go up a set of black metal stairs to the third floor.
