The dining experience at this establishment is undeniably delightful, with the food consistently hitting the mark in terms of taste and being offered at a fair price point—though sweets and juices may feel a bit steep. While the menu is commendable, it could benefit from a bit more variety. Dishes like Chicken Angara Biryani, for instance, would make a fantastic addition. Their weekend breakfast specials are a highlight, but there are a few areas where consistency could be improved. For instance, the puri portions fluctuate, and while I appreciate their explanation—that larger puris warrant a smaller serving and vice versa—I recently received only two small puris, which felt underwhelming for the $5.99 price tag. I would prefer a more reliable serving size rather than being met with inconsistency. Additionally, the breakfast menu itself, while tasty, offers the same four options each weekend. After a while, this lack of variety can become monotonous, and I find myself less inclined to return for the weekend breakfast special. There are also some logistical issues that need attention. The wait time between seating and placing an order can sometimes stretch beyond comfort, and similarly, there’s often a delay when it comes to settling the bill. While the wait for food itself—sometimes over 30 minutes—is understandable, these other delays detract from the overall experience. Moreover, the tables often feel sticky, and I’ve noticed food remnants stuck in the crevices of the wooden planks, which isn’t ideal. The hand wash area also tends to be clogged, which could be a quick fix to enhance the overall ambiance. Despite these shortcomings, the courteous and kind demeanor of the staff, as well as the quality of the food, keeps me coming back. I genuinely believe this place has great potential and could become a staple for Denver foodies with just a few tweaks. I look forward to seeing them thrive!

A friend and I tried the Indian food buffet over the weekend here. Priced at $12.99 for over 16 items and unlimited made to order dosas, this was a really intriguing offering for us, and the experience delivered! In an area where every buffet is over $20, Hangout Place is our best choice for an affordable buffet that satisfies. There were four rice options, four veg curries, a couple of non veg items and some chutnies. Great lineup for us vegetarians, meat eaters may be bummed out. There are no desserts. We enjoyed almost all the items and the unlimited dosa was a nice addition! Except for the biryani, the other items were homecooked quality so if you are going in with premium restaurant expectations you will be disappointed. The interior is just a giant room with squeaky furniture and a projector playing Bollywood videos on loop. The hand wash sink is actually in the corner of the restaurant and visible to those eating. Definitely not complaining at this price point though. We did have to ask for water glasses and then the waiter forgot so we just grabbed unused glasses from another table. We also had to ask for yogurt on the buffet table which they also forgot. All in all, it was a good experience and given the price, it is absolutely worth it visiting at least once. Their weekday buffet is even cheaper.

I was hungry but it was very late. I call ahead to make sure they would be open. I did not know what to expect. My family enter this fine establishment with an open mind and 3 empty bellies. The vibe here was casual and family oriented. The wall had a large projection screen, TV displaying Indian music videos. Which was fun and entertaining. The dining area was full of color. All the entree’s here were created with love and fully authentic. The hand crafted triangle Samosa Chaat is a crispy pastry with a tender warm center. The authentic Chicken Curry is spicy but delicious. This is my first time trying Gongury Mutton. I am glad my server suggested this entree. Chicken Tikka Masala is my favorite dish we ordered hands down. Each dish was paired with a tasty bread. I enjoyed the large portions of each delicious dishes. The chi tea here changed me. It truly is the best in town. Also the Mango Lassi drink is thick and full of fresh fruit without any extra fillers. I encourage you to check out my photos.

This was my second time here. I was highly disappointed by the behavior of the people working there. The one who took the order didn’t know what items were available .I went there with my family. We ordered two veg thali, one chicken fry biryani, one samosa chaat and one shrimp curry with rice. The veg thali was good but they forgot to ask what type of rice we want whether pulav or plain rice. But the dishes in thali were tasty. In the samosa chaat, they didn’t put the sev on top which was there when I had eaten last time. When I asked for it,the server doesn’t know what sev is? While ordering when we asked for boneless chicken biryani they said it’s not available, later on we saw it written on the board as a speciality and when we ask the other person they say it’s available. And finally they bring the shrimp curry with the pulav and it was dry appetizer instead of curry. When we requested to talk to manager , a lady comes and talks with us. She said “we cook it like this only in a rude way”. And when we said it’s written curry she accepts saying it was their fault and that they thought we wanted dry shrimp instead of the curry/gravy. They corrected their mistake but we had to wait additional time for it. They took a lot of time to serve the food. The food overall was good in taste. But we were disappointed with the behavior and...

Was expecting home style but was worse, vada was good, idli was fair, dosa was pathetic, after more than 1 hour wait we got take away food, which we asked to server, I usually dont like to leave bad review but it was a really waste of time, ayone can make reasonable dosa at home it was seriously pathetic, we went there about 2 months back though. I have failed 50 interviews in life time and passed like 30 - so I feel bad about writing bad review about this owner who wants to be a successful business - my sincere advice - please improve your Dosa - you can do it, also improve customer turn around time, no customer can wait more than 20-30 mins, set the waiting time expectation on your website and banners that you're home style restaurant and that you dont have lot of staff so people can to you with a right expectation, I wish god bless you and your food becomes good so one day you become the biggest restaurant in Denver or even US, dont be dishearted if you are the owner and reading this review, we can improve, ,I improve after every failed interview to pass the next one - you can do this - improve your food quality, consult a Indian house wife - she can help you, if my wife was here she could have easily helped you, we should be good to each other only we will see good side of the world - sorry for this review. - I...
