Received this experience as a Christmas gift and I can say is: Wow! It takes a little while from check-in to flight time, but the wait it worth it! You’re able to watch other flyers as they do their flights and it’s really interesting to see. Once you check-in you go upstairs and wait for your instructor to greet you. They take you to a classroom where you watch a quick video on how the flights work, safety tips, and communication signals your instructor will use (you won’t be able to hear them through the loud sound of wind) so hand cues are important.
The instructors do a demo after each group concludes their flights and the tricks are really interesting to see.
There is a screen in the tunnel that shows the flight time, wind speed, and percentage of capacity the wind is blowing during the flights. It’s really interesting to watch this during other people’s flights to see how it varies. We added the high flying experience where the instructor takes you in tandem higher up the tunnel with increased wind speeds. It feels like you’re floating and I would recommend that add-on.
If you’re a first flyer, the instructor will keep hold of you as you learn to stabilize your body in these increased velocities, so fear not, you will not Willy Wonka your way to the ceiling. Kevin was our instructor and did such a fantastic job of being personable, helping calm jitters, and create a great experience for new flyers. We will be back!
And if you couldn’t tell already…I highly recommend...
Read moreI had a terrible experience. I hate the hidden costs. Also they should make providing the best experience possible more important than getting more money from costumers for equipment that would make the difference between and great time and a terrible time. I was excited to take my family of 3 kids and husband. I was not aware that they were going to try and nickle and dime me for things I thought would be part of the experience. 10$ extra per person to high fly which I assumed was part of the package. The high flight takes no extra work or time on the side of the instructor. For me this was 50$ extra. Also I could not breath at all in the wind tunnel and could not last the full time. I made the instructor aware of this before we went into the wind tunnel and was given the option to once again pay 10$ extra for a closed helmet. Now I am up to 60$ extra on top of what I already paid to get into the place. I declined because he assured me I could handle it. Well I couldn't and when I realized that I was out of luck. For the cost of the experience vs the amount of time you actually get to do it, if you can breath, there are so many other activities I'd rather do. I will not...
Read moreFor those who are looking for a chance to float on air without jumping out of a plane, iFly is the place to go. This was our first time doing this and it was quite a rush! We were told that a minute of air time in the flight tube is pretty close to the amount of time it takes to do a regular sky dive from a plane. It's really amazing how your body moves when it's got a constant gush of air coming from under you. The crew at iFly are all amazing! They were all very receptive, knowledgeable, and super friendly. Our instructor Devon was amazing! He really put our party at ease with his friendly personality and knowledge. I was very impressed with his aerial abilities in the wind tunnel! Super instructor. In fact, all the instructors are very exceptional at what they do here! We enjoyed it so much we are planning in coming back again sometime to use our learned skills and attempt to learn more! I would have to say that this is really an awesome outing for just about everyone. Even tho this simulates sky diving, I really give kudos to those who skydive for real!! Like my favorite wrestler Road Warrior Hawk used to say...."Whhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat a...
