Someone once asked me if I ever would choose giving up Thai so I could be skinny for the rest of my life, my response was I am Thai and I am skinny. Moot point, no choice. This is one of the great Thai spots for the south suburban area and largely because they carry my favorite dessert, sesame balls.
I've done all options here - dine, take out and Postmates delivery. Service is always so friendly and the place is never too packed to snag a table with plenty of parking in this strip mall.
Service is always consistent and five stars. Flavor in relation to heat level is solid and a big fan of Thai hot for the spice level. The chef is not always consistent and why I didn't give it five stars. My last takeout order, who ever cooks on Friday, definitely knocked it out of the park!
The pumpkin curry is good if you want to venture from the usual spice and red curry options. I love red curry and always ask for extra bamboo shoots. Normally my go to is panang curry but they add peas and carrots and that's not traditional Thai for me. If you're more a potatos person, order the Massaman curry.
You never realize how little self control you have until you order the sesame ball dessert. No regrets because it is living...
Read moreJust tried this place for the first time for a take out staff lunch for our small office. On a positive note the inside ambiance seemed nice (I only stopped in for pickup) and my coworkers did really enjoy their pad thai and fried rice lunch specials, which were reasonably priced and well portioned. My lunch on the other had was quite bad: they initially screwed it up and forget to include rice, requiring me to make a second drive back in to correct with no apology from the staff. I got the garlic pepper chicken 'regular portion' which was oddly quite a bit smaller than the lunch specials (maybe half the size) and also pretty terrible: so salty that it almost seems like they screwed up and dumped half a shaker in by mistake. Barely edible, even with the help of rice which they forgot to include. So overall giving 3 stars from my coworkers and deducting a few for the mistake, lack of apology, and quite bad meal of mine. Perhaps just avoid the pepper garlic options and double check...
Read moreThis restaurant has huge potential but they should make the menu smaller and make sure they make every dish amazing. Is it Thai or Filipino. In either case make one or the other amazing or if you choose both, shrink the menu and make every item amazing.
Garlic Fried rice was good, the chicken was dry and flavorless. I ended up not eating the chicken and moved to the side. Garlic fried rice should have been cooked more and seemed oily?
Mixed vegetables entree was good. But nobody understood why there was lettuce as like a side?
The “spring rolls”, what I call “egg rolls” were really good. Hot and crispy and full of flavor. Sweet and sour sauce was good.
Gyoza was good, and I would get again
I also had the Chicken Pad Thai, it was ok, but it needs work. Something was off compared to other restaurants.
The menu and food served was good, but a...
