Honestly, I would go to some other location. Or maybe they have just changed their portions over all. The food is good but not worth $15-$17. Veggie bowl (you're already saving on meat) had scanty veggies. No lettuce...the cheapest veggie! The bowl was only half full. I went to one in Lakewood approximately 2-3 years ago and I remember having food for 3 meals atleast. They now implement only one salsa on your bowl which wasn't the case before. Paid $1 to get extra salsa and got the smallest container you would have ever seen. Idk. i rather go to Chipotle at this point

I really wanted to like this place because I’ve heard so much about it, but my experience was not what it seems others have. In my mind these guys are chasing Chipotle with several missing components. I had a steak burrito no rice and beans, and a soda with tax cost me $17. 😳 Service was not friendly, and frankly could care less if I was there. Outdoor tables were filthy. Hopefully your experience is much better because it seems overall they have a good reputation.

The nametag-less short, glasses wearing female prepper/cashier was curt, and impolite, like I was bothering her at 2pm on a Wednesday. Food was great, but she served up half a $14 Mahi-Mahi bowl (see pic), and didnt think to give a fork. Great place, but she needs to go. I am a sole-proprietor service provider, and would never treat customers as she does.

If I can put 0 start will be better, service was terrible they practically hurry us up to order cause the cashier was going on break, I order two tacos and a asada burrito , beside the attitude to asked me how I want them , I went back to the person who prepared the burrito and told him the tortilla was cold, he said is cause the stuff u put on I just added cilantro and onion, I told him one side is warm and the other side the tortilla is cold , he said he can’t touch it and he handle me a tortilla I’m like why u are giving me an empty tortilla he said he can’t touch my cold burrito , so in his head he gave me a warm tortilla so I can open the cold one and transfer everything to the warm tortilla🤔🤔what in the world , he has to do a new one and take away the cold one , never feel so discriminated, just cause I’m hispanic you can feel the way of they talk to me and to another Caucasian customer , the cashier had to tell me in a rude way the tortilla for the tacos are the same size when I asked her for the smallest one , (usually corn are smaller than flour) just the attitude no feeling welcome and cause I took my time to add the proper tip, she made a sarcastic commment if u are not adding any tip press 5 😡 like hope the manager can read this and contact me there is more but I’m so upset that rather explain...

First time to any Chronic Tacos. This is the Alamitos Bay location in Long Beach, CA. Place was clean and nice at 7PM. I ordered for takeout. Staff was nice. I ordered a Regular Burrito with Al Pastor, Baha Style with Chips & Salsa. The Burrito was great & the portion size was huge. Chips are large and not busted up which is very nice. I ordered hot and medium salsa which is what they say they are. I prefer a more of a Pico De Gallo that is hot and medium and that is not what it is. The hot salsa goes nice on the Burrito. Looking at all the pictures it appears they used to have individual taco's on the menu, but that is not the case anymore. I asked the server and he said they still make them but the price is your best guess. I think they should go back to that as I was looking to order a single Carne Asada Taco but did not know the price. Checkout was easy except for the tip question. I don't leave a tip when I do takeout. They have 4 choices for tip and NO TIP is not an answer. You have to select OTHER, and then leave it $0.00. Really not nice in my book. All in all I would go back and maybe try the Carne...

Chronic Tacos were in the OC Weekly's Best of the OC for tacos. I had to try them, I've only had their burritos before. They are served with your choice of corn or flour tortilla, and then they go down the assembly line. I got cheese, onions, parsley, and guac on a carne asada and carnita taco. Okay tacos, just A-OK.

I came here the same week I had SoHo tacos, big mistake. SoHo's homemade tortillas are all I can think of and theses were not even close. The tacos are $2.99 each, a bit pricey for your average taco.

OC Weekly's best of let me down. Not the best tacos in the OC. SoHo tacos better make that...
