DönerG Turkish & Mediterranean Grill - Long Beach — Restaurant in Long Beach

Legit one of the most uncomfortable experiences I've ever had. Came in a little after 6pm to grab my order i place online. And omg... some lady infant of me im assuming pre-ordered something and it wasn't done on time like she was told. There were like 4 employees and they all looked so scared and confused. Once the lady infront of me left, I just wanted to pick up my order and be on my way. All four of these employees avoided eye contact with me at all costs. Like, even I felt uncomfortable and I didn't even do anything! No one talked to me or acknowledged my existence until some poor unfortunate soul of a young lady finally caught eyes with me and I told my name and the order I placed online. She handed it to to a tall brown haired gentleman who looked very VERY new.. looked at me, looked at the bag and looked at me again. I asked was it for me and he finally said yes. MyGod. .my food was fantastic but just for that interaction alone, I don't think...

Wow. Very disappointing meal at Doner G. First of all, we had to wait a very long time to even place our order and then for the plates to be made. Many of the ingredients were also missing. The most disappointing part was after we got our food it was extremely salty and the veggies were not fresh (even tasted a bit like cleaning products) and the salad was soggy! The chicken also wasn’t even a kebab, it was all ligaments. When they first opened I came here all the time but now I have to say they have lost a customer. We spent a great amount of money for a dinner and we couldn’t even eat it! This is why I am sadly writing this bad review. We also complained to the staff and they did not seem to care or want to fix the problem. She said there is something wrong with my tastebuds, but in reality the food is horrible quality! Wow, horrible customer service and horrible food....

[Open for takeout during COVID] We've been a couple times before and were craving some Mediterranean food. DonerG did not disappoint! It was pretty quiet inside Long Beach Exchange since half the restaurants are closed right now, so we walked up and were helped right away. The lady and young man working were super nice and friendly.

Both dishes: beef rice plates with half rice and half salad. I mixed two of the three salads and added cucumbers and bell peppers. The hubby mixed all three and added olives and onion/cilantro mix. The reddish sauce is their house sauce (I recommend it!) and the white sauce is jajik, a yogurt cucumber sauce. I got enough food in my one plate for 1 1/2 meals! They also gave us pita and hummus on the side.
