I wish I could give this restaurant zero stars. Our visit on September 6th at 9 PM was marred by the worst customer service, especially from the manager. My family and I were seated at 7 PM, but our food didn't arrive until around 9 PM. The dishes were brought out slowly , one by one, with cold chicken that had been sitting for a while, flavorless rice, and a slimy, wilted salad. The paninis which take less time to cook arrived last, after having to reach out to the waitress and then the manager. Then we also realized the our 5 year old’s order was missing as well. The manager visited the table, bringing a couple of plates out, never introducing himself until we ask if he was the manager. He rudely stated he understood it took awhile for the food to come out and that they were backed up but the "food is out now and it is what it is". We were also told as our food was slowly arriving that it was last call for food, but then the restaurant proceeded to sit a family of four next to us and another large family who arrived much later, whom received their meals promptly. We asked why would you continue to sit people if your backed up and last call for food? After back and forth discussion, the manager promised to comp our meals but then returned saying he could only offer a 50% discount after calling his GM. Since we hadn't eaten any of our food, I asked him to call his GM back up, he refused to so. He stated that he needed to charge us for something, so I tried to be reasonable by agreeing to pay for the appetizers, to which he agreed. However, at the register, he started adding drinks and other items, contrary to our agreement. Throughout the whole ordeal, the manager was rude and condescending. On top of that, my daughter reported that a staff member made snide comment to her while giving our starving 5 year old a bite the panini, stating "isn't that food too cold for you, didn't it come out late" When we addressed this with the manager, not once did he apologize for her actions or acknowledge the issue. When asking for her name, he refused to give it, saying he wouldn't put her in that position. Yet, he didn't seem concerned about the position she put him in or addressing her unprofessional behavior. The situation escalated to the point where the manager threatened to call the police if we didn't pay for the meals. We welcomed the idea stating we are all here just like the food sitting on the table is still there. Nobody is leaving and if it needs to escalate it to that point, please do so. He then told us "well if you not going to pay then you can leave". I told my family he gave us permission to go, so let's go.
This experience was the epitome of poor management and unprofessionalism. I've never dealt with such inadequacy in the food industry before. I sincerely hope corporate reviews this experience and takes it seriously. Addressing these issues with the manager and staff will be crucial in preventing similar experiences for future guests. Our experience was marred by clear mismanagement. Your staff and restaurant are only as good...
Read moreI did not enjoy my experience here. I was already having a tough day dealing with the loss of someone close, and I was hoping for a peaceful meal. Unfortunately, the service made things even harder.
When I arrived, the host was friendly and very accommodating about seating me in the shade since it was hot outside. That part I appreciated. But once I sat down, the issues began. I was on an important call, and the server kept coming up to me trying to take my order. Instead of waiting until I was finished, she kept pressing, asking if she could get me something. A simple glass of water or a beverage napkin would have been an appropriate, quiet acknowledgement until I was ready. It felt rude and intrusive to keep interrupting.
Even after I asked for a few minutes, she continued coming back, almost rushing me to order. Good service is about reading the guest, and in this case, she missed the mark completely. On top of that, she started venting to me about her neighbor’s dog while I was still trying to settle in. I sat and listened politely, but it was the last thing I needed in that moment.
When I asked for no onions due to an intolerance, she told me it was “too much labor for the cooks.” I was honestly shocked. Removing onions from a kebab is not complicated, and it was the wording that made the interaction so off-putting. She quickly went into “I can get the manager,” when it wasn’t even that serious. Thankfully, the kitchen did end up preparing the dish without onions, and the food itself was delicious. The kebab was flavorful, though the salad was very dry until I asked for more dressing.
After I finished eating, I waited about 10–15 minutes for a box and to pay my bill. I finally got up to head inside, and I could tell she was annoyed that I did so, as if it made her look bad. My bill came to $39, and despite everything, I still tipped her $6. But as I was leaving, I overheard her talking negatively about me not finishing my wine—loud enough for me to hear—and even shaking her head at me. That was the final straw. I could have complained and sent the wine back to be voided off my bill, but instead I paid for it. I wasn’t in the best mood to begin with, but I was not rude, snappy, or disrespectful toward her at any point. I spoke politely the entire time, even while processing a very difficult day. I sat on the patio with my small dog in a stroller at...
Read moreA friend was taking me to dinner for my Birthday, and we chose this place based on her recommendation because she had eaten here before. There was a New menu item - SALMON SCAMPI - that we decided to try based on how AMAZING this dish was described on the Menu. To say I was disappointed with this dish would be a huge understatement. First, when you offer a dish on the Restaurant Menu, PLEASE make sure that the cook(s) in your establishment know how to prepare it based on the description. With that being said, I was served a large bowl of linguini in noodle juice with a few capers and some tomatoes. There was no seasoning on the linguini, no parmesan cheese and absolutely no cream sauce. When I asked about the "cream sauce", the waiter returned with a small container of cold heavy cream and gave it to me to pour on my dish. I told him, "this cream is like water, it's not a cream sauce, and it is cold so I cannot put it on my linguini." He took it back to the kitchen, warmed it up and brought it back. I then explained to him that based on the Menu description, this dish is supposed to come with parmesan and a cream sauce - Linguine with Grilled Salmon, Garlic, Tomato, Capers and Parmesan in a Cream Sauce." I ended up bringing the dish home, and preparing my own "cream sauce." My friend ended up sending her plate back, then ordered what she usually ordered. While their attitudes were great, and they attempted to fix the problem, I'm baffled at how do you not know how to prepare a dish that you're offering to sale to the public. Needless to say, once was...
