This location of the Croft is at the LBX. If you haven’t been there already, it’s basically a large food court with lots of seating. The atmosphere is nice for a food court, but let’s get into the food.
I got a kroft chicken sandwich that was supposedly spicy because it had jalapeños in the slaw ( I had the option to make it more spicy for an extra dollar or two). I thought the sandwich came with fries, it did not. Fries were around $4.60 and they were not worth it. The fries were soggy and dry, it felt like they had been sitting around for a few hours. The sandwich was delicious, but not spicy at all.
I definitely felt like I was being nickeled and dimed because they did not have basic ketchup or any sauces to offer with my fries, and they wanted me to pay extra for my “spicy sandwich”, which should have been spicy in the first place.
For a small cup of sauce, it was $.35. Which is fine for speciality sauces, but I just wanted ketchup. they didn’t even have basic ketchup to offer, like any other restaurant/burger place.
So I’m taking away two stars because this place is known for poutine, which is basically fries and gravy and their fries sucked. And because I felt that I was being nickeled and dimed, even though the cost of the items on their menu was already expensive compared to other burger spots in the...
Read moreCome back for the decent food for my lady. I cannot speak positive of the service though. Extremely slow and not engaged.
Having been a service professional... its also not wise to have your line people eating on line. Using their gloved hands to shovel food into their mouths. And subsequently not changing gloves while preparing food. Witnessed a guy eating this way two or three times while waiting for my to-go.
And please have something done with the ice maker at the beverage dispenser. Last time here for my her... no ice. Came here again for her yesterday... still no ice. Have to get ice from behind the counter.
Will the draft beer ever be available again? Our first time here, after my flight into LGB and a long day, she chose for us to stop at the exchange for eat/drink. I had eaten in SF and only wanted a beer, the hefeweizen on tap. "No tap beers available." Yesterday... still none available.
Her choice of beverage (soda) was "out". Once replaced, I had to prime the soda fountain for a proper drink. Your customers should not be doing this.
I understand in today's society many businesses are hard pressed for employees that actually want to work. Especially in the service industry, but its managements job...
Read moreI had visited this place for a friends birthday. Out of all the food places here I decided to try this place out. It seemed like there was many people that gave this place high praise, but I didnt have as good of an experience. It was mainly the wait and the service with the mess up of my order that quickly changed the mood. I had tried to order multiple different things like the cheeseburger egg rolls, Braised Beef Fries, and the Braised beef Baked Potato.
My order took the longest out of all my friends, even though I ordered first. When I finally got my order, I took my food to the outside patio to start to eat, and found out that they gave me the wrong order. I went walked all the way back inside, and there was no initial sorry, they just took my order and talked amongst their team members about the mess up. The same thing that happened to another gentleman who came back, possibly switching up our orders. I would at least let us know what is going on, order was messed up, let me make you another one..
After I finally got my food I was able to finally eat it, it was decent, but don’t know if I would pay that much...
