5 STARS ALL THE WAY!
Local, convenient, and delicious is what comes to mind when I think of HoneyBee's.
I moved into the area almost a year ago now and I drove by this place everyday to and from work since I live about 3 blocks away. In all honesty I never stopped by because I'm always running late to where I should be or the times I thought about stopping it looked busy and again I am usually running too late to wait lol
This time around I was off and had just finished a morning cycling class and decided, today is the day I try this place and I'm so happy I did.
First off all Isabella was AMAZING! She was so welcoming and very helpful, her bubbly and beautiful personality is so contagious and made my visit outstanding. I knew I wanted an Açai bowl but they had a few options so she gave me her best recommendation and totally explained to me what they have to offer.
Since my first visit I have been here a hand full of times now and every time I have stopped by the service is nothing but the best and the açaí bowls are always PERFECT! I love my açaí bowls made with extra peanut butter and no coconuts, they never have a problem with altering any order to your liking.
Located in a residential neighborhood with only street parking, HoneyBees has indoor and outdoor seating and is a nice quiet place to sit and hangout or maybe get some work done.
I’m so happy this cute place is located blocks away from my living situation so I can stop by anytime I please...
Read moreWithout A/C this place is extremely hot even on a moderately warm day. Sadly, if there are a lot of people ahead of you, waiting inside for your order is very uncomfortable because of the temperature. Since the place is in a residential neighborhood, they don't have a way to announce orders outside the building (where waiting is much more comfortable).
I had to wait a long time inside for my side order of fries, because as it seems, whoever was supposed to do them, forgot. When I finally got the order, the food was unedible, undercooked, drenched in oil, and just nasty. When I tried to get a refund, one of the ladies (the one had forgotten to her job?) got all huffy and puffy about it (unlike the lady in a green shirt who at least was nice). Rather than admitting her mistake, and refunding the order on the card, the lady in a white shirt wanted to give me back the money in cash ($4.95), but did not give me back the tax or the tip. Thanks for being petty and giving me 10x$0.10 (I had a $0.05 coin) rather than singles/a $5 bill.
Great job at building a loyal customer base, Honeybee's. Sheesh. Will be looking at filing a chargeback with my...
Read moreI live nearby and love the idea of a walkable neighborhood coffee shop. Honeybees has so much potential but is missing the mark.
Recommendations to the owners—- Get rid of the stupid, order by screen mechanism. It actually slows down production. I just waited 15minutes for 3 people to order with that thing. You don’t have enough people in the shop to justify this. It also destroys any element of real customer service and face to face contact. People don’t care for it.
For the sister company next door, 2nd and Loma. Same advice, where are the servers??? You order at a screen and they serve you your food behind a wall? There is no atmosphere, no music. So much wasted potential.
You could do so much more with the space. Have community events that invite some of the locals. The place feels like a ghost town and a very lazy afterthought of a...
