Terrible service and terrrrrrible food. Ordered a vegan burrito and my mom ordered a vegetarian burrito and it took literally over an HOUR to get our food. For a breakfast place, all of their juices are boxed and not freshly squeezed. And our sides were all mixed up. We asked for ketchup and never saw our waitress ever again. All of it is cheap premade frozen food warmed up and slapped together! My vegan burrito was like eating a slightly warmed up nasty greasy tube of soy chorizo! I asked for the avocado on the side and they just gave me an old tiny quarter slice of avocado thrown on top. The burrito had 4 tiny cubes (obviously frozen) of yams, like 2 leaves of spinach, and a couple rings of grilled onion. The waiters are NO WHERE to be seen. The bus boy gave us our food. And when the girls were around they just made eye contact through the wall mirrors with deer in headlight looks or dirty looks and avoided you like the plague when you try to wave them down. I asked the bus boy for the check and he ran around looking for some waiter for 15 minutes and told her to give me the check. She just looked at me and ran away. It took over 30 MINUTES to get my bill! Eventually the girls had their supervisor come over and she just had a nasty attitude the entire time asking me what I want and I told her THE BILL I HAVE BEEN ASKING FOR FOR THE PAST 30 MINUTES. Then I pay while shes giving me nasty attitude comments about boxing their terrible food that I ripped open to show how disgusting it was. Then finally as my mother and I were standing up to leave 2 hours later, our ORIGINAL waiter finally shows her face and asks if theres anything else she can get us. I told her that my burrito was an inedible tube of luke warm soy chorizo and she gives me attitude saying its because I asked for the avocado on the side, so its my fault. Yeah because a tiny piddly old slice of avocado will some how make your nasty food so much better. There are wayyy better breakfast places like Claire's at the Museum and Creme de la Crepe that are worth your time and money with friendly service and amazing food. First and last time ever...

Folks near Long Beach…
Let’s Yolk About It (the best breakfast/brunch!) just added to their amazing menu… Grilled Cheese with Crab + Tomato Basil Soup (pictured, half eaten), Crab Benedict, and Bacon Pancakes. I had the lovely, melty Grilled Cheese with (real) Crab (you can also add bacon and/or avocado) served on perfectly griddled Katella Bakery sourdough. Be sure to ask for their tartar sauce- for occasional dipping- Yum!! And their Tomato Basil Soup… wow! Just delicious, with chunks of tomatoes and lots of basil.
A couple other faves that have been on the menu for a while… Huevos Rancheros, Croque Madame, Biscuits and Gravy, Breakfast Plate, and the Breakfast Burrito with tater tots instead of potatoes.
The ingredients at Let’s Yolk About It are HIGH quality. And their unique interpretations of classics really hit the mark! Finally, the staff and management are terrific- wonderful customer service, great at recommendations, and they care about their customers!!
Older comment: I’ve been to Let’s Yolk About It at least 8 or 9 times because it’s wonderful! Great service, management, and ownership. Love the server Oscar, as well as others, whose names I did not write down. It’s clean and cool and easily accessible for folks with walkers/wheelchairs. Now the food… Everything, literally everything I’ve tried is scrumptious. They use HIGH quality ingredients and you can taste the difference. Almost everything’s housemade, top notch bread from a third party, lovely sauces, very original menu items, and tons of vegetarian choices. The French toast is elevated with brioche and fruit compote. The breakfast quesadilla was better than I could’ve imagined. The tater tots with mild but flavorful vegetarian jalapeño gravy are yummy. Love the Croque Madame, Benedict and biscuits & (the same vegetarian jalapeño) gravy! And the fried breakfast potatoes, which I was originally not interested in trying, were amazing. Let’s Yolk About It has beautiful coffee (and syrup) options, mocktails, mimosas, and beer. Something for everyone. If you haven’t made it to this lovely little breakfast & lunch...
Read moreTrying to venture out into Long Beach a little more so I found this spot for breakfast.
Started with the tots because we saw Hatch Green Chile in the gravy. Ehhh.... it was bland. Needed pepper and sausage for flavor. Not a fan.
I ordered the chilaquiles. I'm not a gooey egg person so I asked for mine scrambled. They were ok but dry. I guess I like more sauce on things. The chips were good and thick, they way chilaquiles chips should be.
My hubby's was a big disappointment. He ordered the chicken fried steak plate. He should have known it was NOT going to be fresh chicken fried steak, but one can hope. This had zero flavor, the egg was cooked over hard, not running like he asked for. Covered in the gravy, it was just bland.
I think we just ordered the wrong items because the table next to us had AMAZING looking french toast with berry compote and eggs benedict looked fabulous. I'm just not a sweet breakfast eater so I don't tend to order the sweet stuff but it looked good.
We will give it another try and choose different menu items. We got there about 10am and by the time we left...
