The Baked Bear — Restaurant in Long Branch

I was excited to try this place after reading reviews. I was expecting soft cookies after seeing Instagram videos too. One daughter got the august cookie of the month, s’mores, did not like it. It was hard and not impressed. We got it warmed but it wasn’t really warmed. Other daughter got cookies and cream and same, got it warmed up, it was okay. Not a wow from me. One daughter got the blackberry ice cream which was good. Mint chocolate chip was not impressed. I have daughter who wanted the toasted s’mores ice cream but I was weary since it had sea salt pieces. I asked if she can taste a tiny bit but it’s not their policy to have tastes. So we couldn’t tell you about that ice cream. A note: if you want someone to spend $8 on ice cream sandwich (good price for size) and try a new flavor never heard of especially a kid, I would suggest to change your policy. But if your adventures and don’t care to try something your kid may not like and waste food and money, you may not mind. I love ice cream and I was expecting the ice cream to be excellent. We had The Baked Bear at Pier Village set up a custom ice cream sandwich cart for my son’s Bar Mitzvah, and it was an absolute hit. Emily was fantastic to work with—responsive, flexible, and on top of every detail. She helped us customize everything, from the cookies to the ice cream flavors and toppings, and made the whole process smooth.

We ended up serving 130 guests with a great selection: Snickerdoodle, Chocolate Chip, Cookie Monster, and Nutella Chocolate Chunk cookies; Vanilla, Chocolate, Almond Brittle, and Caramel Pretzel Chip ice cream; plus fun toppings like sprinkles, Oreo crumbs, and mini M&Ms. Guests loved being able to mix and match cookies, and even use a brownie for one side of the sandwich.

Visited the Baked Bear food truck in Asbury Park today. I had a awesome experience. Was greeted with a smile on the face of the server upon arrival. There were so many choices on the board. It was so difficult to decide which cookie and ice cream to choose. The server did a great job describing the flavors. I decided to pick the cookie of the month called lemon glaze and the seasonal ice cream strawberry shortcake. The worker offered to hot press the ice cream cookie sandwich. It was like the cookies just came out of the oven. The ice cream and cookies were so flavorful. The atmosphere was quaint with a designated picnic table area with strings of twinkle lights and a great view of the ocean. I can’t wait to come back again. I strongly recommend...
