I came in with my family, and my children were filled with excitement to see a store full of their favorite sweets. At first, I didn't see anyone behind the counter, so I assumed they were in the back. However, I quickly realized the employee-a woman who appeared to be in her late 40s, slightly heavyset, with blondish hair was sitting down, eating, and watching a show on her phone.I considered leaving but decided to stay for my children. My wife and two young kids walked into this candy store thinking it would be a family friendly atmosphere. It was not. There were three customer service employees who offered no greeting and were all way more concerned with getting back to their phones. The blaring explicit music was dishing out F bombs, along with other profanities, not appropriate for young kids. When this was brought up to the manager instead of an apology or any acknowledgment that the music was unfit for a candy store, my wife was told that the music was “FDA approved” and it was ok because it was on Spotify. We went in yesterday to try and support a local candy store. Certainly didn’t feel the magic that a candy store should be. When we walked in the two employees were talking and looked over at us like we were disturbing them. They didn’t greet us or ask us if we needed help. We grabbed some candy to give it a try.
