Man o man, what a disappointment! I am not even sure where to begin…let’s say service.
We have gone into GB’s three times to ensure a review that is consistent and honest.
The service is nothing short of laughable. None of these people want to be at work (have to assume based on exp’s). You will wait for over ten minutes for a seemingly indifferent and monotoned staff member to get you a beverage. That beverage will more than likely take an awful amount of time to reach you (we didn’t time it this time, but was quite a while for some water and tea). Have you ever had a waitress look the other direction and make faces at a co-worker while asking you to repeat your order because she wasn’t paying attention the first go-round? If not, this is your LUCKY day. Go to GB’s it’s a real work of art having staff that care that little. I could go on, but I think the point has been driven home; if you are going in for a meal and a drink, plan on the long haul!
The Food -
With a story like GB’s, you expect good old fashioned bbq with a flare for elevating flavors and seasonings. Sorry, not today and not here, imo. The chicken was inedible, and they had to try again. The second batch was throw in a vat of chicken grease, to alleviate the dryness, so then it was just a soggy mess. The pulled pork; dry and stringy. Brisket was cubed and provided no real appreciation for the wonderful cut of meat (when cooked properly and not resting under a heat lamp).
All in all, if you need something to fill your stomach, you’ll probably have some edible food? No other places in Longmont will offer anything better (BBQ). Do yourself a ‘flavor’ and go down to Post Oak off Tennyson, they rock and never have anything but FRESH, TASTY BBQ.

Not only he was on top of reaching out, but he sent us a gift card and a box of Georgia Boys goodies, which I was not expecting a was truly surprised to receive. Thank you Matt and team. We are definitely a returned customers, in fact, we are coming back to eat there tonight!
My family's recent experience has left me deeply disappointed and questioning our future patronage. I placed an order at 5:25 PM, only to have it abruptly cancelled without explanation at 6:02 PM. My calls to the restaurant went unanswered, leaving my pregnant wife and hungry toddler without the dinner we were eagerly anticipating. (I whipped up a quick spaghetti and meatballs before the house went into full meltdown)
This last-minute cancellation not only ruined our meal but disrupted our entire evening. The lack of communication and indifference shown by the restaurant is in stark contrast to the positive experiences I have had there in the past.
I have enjoyed dining at Georgia Boys for the past few years, appreciating both their food and atmosphere. We first ate there when my wife was pregnant with our first child, I've loved their food truck and we even hired them to cater my wife's Ph.D. graduation celebration.
I strongly advise others to consider alternative dining options until Georgia Boys rectifies these service shortcomings. Your recent actions have fallen far short of expectations, and I hope this review prompts the much-needed improvements that will allow me to once again enjoy your establishment...
Read moreGeorgia Boys BBQ: Finger-Lickin' Good and Worth the Hype! Let me tell you, Georgia Boys BBQ in Longmont is the real deal! My husband and I went for a late lunch and were absolutely blown away by the smoky goodness.
I opted for the smoked turkey salad, and it was a revelation. The turkey was perfectly cooked, with a deep, rich smoke flavor that infused every bite. The accompanying salad was fresh and crisp, providing a welcome contrast to the smoky star of the show. I ordered two dressings on the side — smoked poblano and fig vinaigrette — both amazing.
My husband is a self-proclaimed "rib connoisseur," and he rarely compliments others. However, after his first bite of the St. Louis ribs, he declared them the best he'd ever had. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender, with perfect char and a delicious smoky sweetness. The sauce was a perfect complement, adding a touch of tang without masking the ribs' natural flavor.
We both left Georgia Boys BBQ feeling incredibly satisfied and already planning our next visit. If you're looking for authentic, mouthwatering BBQ in Longmont, look no further! This is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise.
P.S. Be sure to try their sides – we shared the sweet potato casserole and okra. Yum!
P.P.S. Our server was an absolute delight. I wish I would have...
