How can anyone give this place 1 star? The service is always friendly and the food is outstanding!(Naomi Brown you troll ?) Thai Kitchen is the best Thai food in the Longmont / Boulder area (along with Chez Thuy in Boulder). Authentic tastes of Thailand from a native Thai woman who's obviously been cooking for decades. The flavor of every dish I have had here is superior to the equivalent (in name) at Urban Thai in Longmont's Prospect neighborhood. The depth of flavors and ingredients in the Curries and other dishes would rightly make Urban Thai blush with shame. And I like Urban Thai, for what it is. The Panang curry at Thai Kitchen had flavors of lemongrass, fish sauce, bamboo shoots, whole basil leaves, and I was surprised by the deliciousness of seldom seen Thai spices and vegetables! Incredibly good tastes, leaving me with a home-style satisfied feeling. Spring rolls are made right (made to order), super fresh with cilantro and a side of peanut sauce. The large portions served here make my fridge happy with left overs. They proportion the meat correctly in dishes here, as not to overwhelm the other subtle ingredients. The only thing I wanted to see here that I didn't were whole green peppercorns in the pod, which are great in a number of Thai dishes. Call ahead for hot takeout ready when you get there, or dine in in the relaxed dining room. Take a little drive up to North Main Street above 17th St, it is...
Read moreIf you love REALLY GOOD Thai food you'll want to head to Thai Kitchen in Longmont, even if it means passing a few other Thai restaurants along the way. It's right off Highway 287 in north Longmont tucked into the corner of a strip mall, so Google directions before you go.
My husband and I eat out & take out quite a bit and we love Thai food, so we've eaten at many of the Thai restaurants from Longmont to Boulder to Denver, and beyond. While we haven't found many that are truly bad, we have narrowed it down to one absolute favorite--Thai Kitchen in Longmont.
The food is consistently excellent, and we have ALWAYS had good service, even during busier times, when, as expected at any restaurant, we've had to wait a bit. My feeling about people who complain about waiting for anything at a restaurant, even when the reason is not obvious (like, say, busy times) is that they should eat at home. If you're going to be offended and complain about any single incident wherever you go, then stay at home because life in public service can be unpredictable.
That said, we've found the restaurant clean and comfortable, the servers friendly and attentive but unobtrusive, the prices reasonable, and again- the food is consistently the best Thai we've found. My favorites: Tom Kha soup, Chicken Satay, Spicy Jungle...
Read moreunfortunately I've been back three times since the panademic. I have not got the same consistency of the meal every time matter of fact two times were horrible! when calling this place you may or may not get through and don't dare ask why it takes so long to answer you will get lit up on the other end by some chick who has no customer service skills. Then when I went in to pick up my meal I asked how I could get through easier. Unfortunately she relied Clyde in a very unprofessional manner which I told her so then she even copped more attitude I asked for a manager and he told her to go to the back because of the way she was acting. When I came back the second time to get my meal and it was not done right she was asked to leave. I would never have anything to do with this place because of the customer serviceshe was very unprofessional and I would stay away from it because the consistency of food is not right onThis was the first time my wife and I tried this restaurant. We ordered pad Thai and fried tofu as an appetizer. I figure if they can't do pad Thai right then I'll never go back. I will be back and I'm willing to try out other things on the menu because the pad Thai is authentic and damn good! We are definitely excited to try it again and love that it has...
