HORRIBLE
I wish I could leave 0 stars.
Every time I come here I am disappointed and let down and tonight was the last time I'm subjecting myself to this. I'm an officer of an organization that often comes here after meetings in Longmont. I have Celiac's Disease and as such, cannot drink gluten. This place makes no effort to offer anything to gluten-free patrons and every time the staff has been dismissive of my concerns and had nothing to offer. It's pathetic, considering that the food truck sitting right outside their door offers gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan options. It's a decision to not pay for the license to offer anything to patrons like us. It's an unwillingness to recognize us.
I've learned this over several times of disappointment, so tonight I came with my own drink. I was approached by a man in an orange jacket who promptly told me I couldn't have it, and before I could say anything he literally reached and grabbed the drink, which was in my hand. I was taken aback and told him that I cannot drink anything here and he told me he could face a fine. He offered no consolation or alternative. Of course I let him take my drink, but frankly it was a really rude way to approach the situation. He was not apologetic or considerate of my circumstances, let alone that he literally took something I paid for right out of my hands. I don't understand why my drink can't be poured into a glass. Who is going to check the ingredients of every patron's glass to see if it was brought in or not? What skin is it off your back if you don't even offer anything that won't damage my insides? I came here with a large party, you're getting paid plenty. Funny for a place with "Compassion" signs everywhere. I've found the compassion to be lacking every time.
This place is terrible. The staff is terrible. Their attitude is terrible. I'm sick of bringing a party of 10+ here only to be treated this way. Have it your way and exclude your gluten-free friends from partaking, I'm done taking people here and I'm done saying good things about this place. There are plenty of gluten-free friendly bars in the area with kind staff who deserve to be tipped well. This is not that place.
I would never recommend Wibby...
Read moreWow. I purchased their Viennese lager, Pilsner and Helles from the grocery store. Delightful! Visited their brewery and was dazzled by the Dunkel and other beers. The employee mentioned they had their annual “Lagerpalooza” happening the following weekend and how amazing it was and suggested we should come. While I was undecided, my girlfriend was super interested in going, so I purchased tickets in light of Wibby’s advertising that Hofbrau, Breakside, and Deschutes attending the event. Wow. What a mistake.
I bought GA tix since I had never attended the event. I waited at the front of the line, watching “VIPs” pass by me for an hour! Wow. Broken. After entering, I made the rounds to track down Deschutes, Hofbrau, and Breakside. No presence in sight! Turns out Wibby was pouring offerings out of CANs from the aforementioned. No presence at all. Ultimately, I approached Phyllis at Wibbyto express my dismay on the “false advertising” and my desire to offset my disappointment with a pour of their Dunkel. She accommodated and sent me away with a Wibby minion to give me a pour. I was met with an excuse from the minion as to why Hofbrau did not show, why Deschutes and a Breakside were not present. Then, things devolved into a nasty rebuff as to how I was being unreasonable and then she called for reinforcement troops to descend.
All in all, let me summarize: I was treated worse than poorly among my 200+ craft beer visits, and will NEVER grace Wibby with a single draft of their excellence again. It is one thing to false advertise, it’s quite another to treat your craft beer discipleship as meaningless. Word to the wise: grant your craft beer dollars to those who DESERVE your patronage and CARE about their loyal Discipleship. I will NEVER grace my refrigerator or my presence with Wibby ever again....
Read moreWibby Brewing in Longmont is truly a great hang in the heart of Colorado's craft beer scene! With their award-winning brews, this place is a must-visit for beer enthusiasts and casual drinkers alike.
The first thing to note is their impressive lineup of beers. Whether you're into hoppy IPAs or rich stouts, Wibby has something to satisfy every palate. I highly recommend trying their flagship lager – it's crisp, refreshing, and perfect for sipping on their expansive outdoor patio.
Speaking of the patio, it’s the star of the show! The large outdoor space is perfect for soaking up the sun, and on warm days, you might even catch live music, which adds to the awesome vibe. The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, making it a fantastic spot for gathering with friends or just hanging out after a long week.
While Wibby serves up minimal eats like pretzels, the occasional food truck helps fill the gap with some delicious options. Plus, if you're with someone who isn't a beer drinker, they offer other beverages, ensuring everyone finds something they enjoy.
I also love how involved Wibby is with the community, participating in many local festivals throughout the year. It's clear they care about more than just brewing great beer; they want to foster a strong sense of community.
In summary, if you find yourself in Longmont, Wibby Brewing is the perfect place to unwind, grab a cold one, and enjoy the Great Outdoors. Bring some friends, take a seat on the patio, and enjoy all that this fantastic brewery has to...
