Arby's — Restaurant in Longview

A friend and I stopped here while on vacation over Thanksgiving week and driving from Seattle to Portland. The food was really good, but the employees we encountered weren't very pleasant. My friend ordered first, and his order was put in. I thought it was my turn to order, but as soon as I began telling the guy what I wanted, he rudely held up his hand and shushed me. Apparently, he was taking a drive-thru order via the headset he was wearing, but I didn't know that. I quickly apologized, but he just as quickly shot me an angry glance. He could have handled that more politely. My friend and I both received our orders at the same time, and we started to sit down to eat when a young woman angrily barked at us, "You can't sit inside! We're closing that part off!" Again, there are so many more ways that could have been expressed more politely. We ended up eating inside the car, out in the parking lot. Surprisingly, no one came out and growled at us. My friend and I were impressed by how nice and friendly most everyone that we encountered in Washington State was; however, these folks were certainly the exception. Only reason my review does not have 1☆/5 is because of friendly service. Staff was extremely friendly, most likely because they had less than par food on hand. After a min wait at the window. I was greeted with a"$29.57 " to which I have the teenager working the register (2)$20 bills. I received a single 10 bill back...no change. I asked the kid why I didn't receive any change, he then pointed to a "national change shortage sign and apologized for the inconvenience. [Alright, ill let that one go, it's only 0.43 cents. Then I waited.. and waited... and waited. 8½ min later I was then told the reason for my wait, was the overflowing, hot n fresh, curly fries in my order. I thanked them and went on my way. Upon arriving home I took my 2L curlys from the bag to which I saw.... well see for yourself. I dont know if I'd call these overflowing. Especially because there were no bottom bag fries to find after. Food was the same taste as usually is but my gyro did seem a little 'watery' due...

We waited while three women took one person's order. Then she wanted to take the order of the person that had come after us before ours but we stepped in. I ordered the Nashville Hot Fish sandwich. It was cool, nearly frozen in the middle and slightly warmer on the corners, someone didn't cook it long enough. It was actually pretty good, but would have been much better fully cooked. My son ordered a mint shake and we both noticed it tasted suspiciously like pistachio, good thing we both like pistachio! My son snarfed down the two chicken sandwiches he ordered and declared the Buttermilk Chicken Cordon Blu was best. All in all I would say the food is better than the service, employees need better training on courtesy, taking precise orders, and how to...
