Tacos El Cholo — Restaurant in Longview

I tried to add this place to Google and they wouldn't let me. They didn't believe that there was a taco truck in the Brake Stop shop that came into this semi cursed location where the car dealership that was here had a suspicious fire years back and sat empty for years after. So far so good with the new businesses here!

I have had their tortas, their burritos, and their tacos. All amazing. Probably the most consistently quality Mexican spot in town and that is comparing them with a lot of competition. Prices are pretty standard for the area, not a crazy bargain but you are getting what you pay for, and it's definitely worth it. The folks who run it seem very nice.

The ambience of the Brake Stop leaves a little to be desired. I recommend coming in from the alleyway entrance as the turn off Washington Way is pretty dicey in comparison. Parking is a "follow your heart" kinda situation with no marked spaces.

You guys have potential, but the burrito sizes need to stay consistent. Also, when I order a steak burrito with cheese and sourcream that's what I'm expecting. Last week the girl asked me a regular or California burrito after I told her my order- the California has fries which i didn't want so I explained again; a regular burrito with cheese and sourcream- i get home to find a regular burrito. Today I went and a different girl was at the window, I said I wanted a supreme steak burrito- she looked at me confused and said "supreme?" I said ya, with cheese and sourcream. She said , "oh a California burrito" I'm like ya whatever I want a steak burrito with cheese and sourcream- I got a burrito with fries, no sourcream or cheese ! Tried this gem of a taco truck today. I ordered the birria, carnitas, chorizo, and pastor tacos. All delicious but I must say the carnitas were my favorite. I love carnitas and order it everywhere I go. Sometimes, it can be dry, and that's disappointing. However, this was very tender and juicy. Not dry at all, and great flavor. Two thumbs 👍 up for the delicious carnitas. BUT then I got a Pina colada for a beverage and man.. that was so delicious. Reasonable prices. I'd give this establishment a 10/10. I am definitely going back to try some more if thier food. Definitely hit the spot for my taco cravings today. Gracias...
