Wow! Entering this High Tea place was like entering a typical English Tea House...the visual delight of colour, china, flowers and deco was stunning. The tea set was matched to the wall paper ...service was excellent. We had 3 kinds of teas (big fat pot each) Ceylon, Jasmine and Blackberry...each one was special...I cheated and mixed the Ceylon and Blackberry and made my own concoction. The petite fours, tiny quiches, choice of sandwiches was mouth watering. The scones were signalling London! Vegetarian choices were great! The person who served us took the time to tell us the history of the restaurant... Even the rest room was appropriately decorated with a whatnot filled with droll tea sets. I took time to visit the kitchen and had a word with the chef's. They were so happy and clapped with delight! For an out and out tea drinker like me this was THE PLACE TO GO!

My mother was visiting from overseas this summer and the two of us decided to celebrate Mothers' Day together at Lisa's Tea Treasures. I called them in the morning and they instantly gave us a reservation for that very afternoon. My mother treated me to a very special lunch and high tea here; we ordered two of their vegetarian high tea lunches to share and were very satisfied with both. The first was the Duchess' Delight (Afternoon Tea in England) which included a scone with Devonshire cream and preserves, two each of Tomato with Herbed Cream Cheese and Cucumber Mint, tea sandwiches, Quiche of the day, and dessert.  We got the Black currant pot of tea to accompany it. The second was the Venetian's Romance (Afternoon Tea in Italy) that included a scone with Devonshire cream and preserves, Goat Cheese with Sundried Tomato tea sandwiches, Pesto Nut tea sandwiches, Roasted Garlic Cheese Puffs, and dessert.  With this one, we got the milder White pomegranate tea. Very memorable experience...

Enjoying a “cream” or “high” tea has been a treat for our family over the past three decades - an excuse to gather for a leisurely chat and some tasty bites. The tea and tearoom atmosphere were everything I have come to expect. And I loved spending time with family - so these were lovely distractions from the food items - many of which I recognized could have been purchased from a frozen food section. I don’t expect all of the tidbits to be prepared fresh, daily in shop’s kitchen, but on this Friday noon, it appeared that maybe only the finger sandwiches (and perhaps the 4” quiche) were. The sandwiches were tasty, by-the-way. But for $50 per person, I have come to expect more. Maybe our next family tea will be...
