Urfa Bistro — Restaurant in Los Altos

First of all, let me just say if there is zero or negative star for this restaurant, I would give this for their service.

I walked in at 5:30 for dinner, ordered, and food took a while to come at 6:00pm. At 6:10pm, I finished my appetizer and the manager(?) came and told me to leave in 20 mins because someone booked the table. At that point, the rest of the food has not come yet. And there were also a lot of empty tables at the restaurant.

I told him that doesn't make sense because you have many tables, and that he should have let me know when I came in. He gave me a temper. I didn't wanna argue with him so I just asked him to give me the cheque, and cancelled the rest of the food.

I took some pictures of the restaurant becase i just wanted to prove how empty it was when he asked me to leave for my review. He took away my food immediately, and said I cannot take pictures.

I cannot believe he works in a restaurant. I feel sorry for the restaurant if this is the manager, because if the manager is like that, then that’s probably the “best” service you are ever gonna get.

There are many workarounds, I am shocked he applied none of that: 1.) Apologize he did not tell me in advance when he sat me down 2.) Ask me to move to another table.

Simple but apparently he is too arrogant and rude to think of that. I was very disappointed because my Turkish friends have recommended me to try this before when I am in the area. Now I will...

The most terrible service that I ever had,2 days ago I was with my 3 friends there for the dinner the waiter gave us a table in the patio beside of a very large group that they were too loud laughing,talking..... we were not able to hear each other literlly we were kinda yelling to able to communicate with each other even waiter was yelling and asking about our orders oooo and other waiters were throwing unclean plates too loud I was holding my ears...the waiter told us they are a group that they are coming there each thursdays or fridays I was like whatttttttt you already know them how they are too loud and annoying others!!!!! why you did not even ask us is that ok then gave a sit beside of them or ask to just wait to see if there is any available sit inside!!!! cause we were not even asking to sit in the patio!!!!!even other guests were not comfortable they were complaining food came outer layer was warm but inside cold ... I was like WTFFFF ...none of the managers showed up even though that we were not happy!!!! nobody was happy there!!! I never ever recommend this stupid place to anyone cause nobody is taking any responsibility and the quality is garbage so do not waste your time and money...

Tips: Make reservation. Staff: We were warmly greeted at the door. Unfortunately we didn’t have reservations and the place was packed. The host tried to accommodate us inside but that didn’t work. Our waiters were friendly and polite. The place: The dining area has a nice vibe. We probably will try to make reservations so we can experience dining inside. We were seated in the patio, which was nice and clean. But it was way too cold and there were not enough heaters. There were only 3 heaters for the whole I think 8 tables. I was shivering by the end of my food and couldn’t stay for the dessert. The food: We ordered eggplant dip for appetizers and it was delish! For the main course we had Urfa Kebob which was grilled perfectly, no too chewy, juicy enough, and tasty, and also beef mukasa. I think Mukasa is a plate hard to make it not good. Beef, good, eggplant, good, potato, good! What’s not to like! BUT, the mukasa to our surprise was meh!
