Giving this place 3 stars for the food but 1 star for the scam they run, and im putting the 1 star first because it was not an accident and there were other people in line with issues.
The Food Vs The Price So the food is cool BUT NO WHERE CLOSE to the ASTRONOMICAL price. These prices are what you would pay at a high end hibachi restaurant sitting in front of a Hibachi Grill with a live performance. This is an outside Hibachi truck with no cover, seats, tables or even standing tables to eat. You get your food and go. From what Iāve read from other reviewers, food quality has gone down. I havenāt been here since some of these other people to say for sure but I do ageew itās probably true.
What We Ordered: One plate of half steak half chicken and fried rice and vegetables. We asked if they could do half rice half yakisoba noodles. They said āno it will be extra $7ā so we said no worries just the rice. Total = $50 NOT INCLUDING TIP. Insane. For one plate of food in a food truck
We received the order not long after. It has the Yakisoba noodles. They charged us extra even after we clearly said no. They tried to convince us to take it. We said no. So they took the noodles out and preceedee to give us a refund. It came in cash, fine. They said theyād give us $7 however it should be $7 plus the tax we paid but i wasnāt going argue over that. They hand me the cash, its $6. Didnt even bother arguing. This was obviously all intetional given they screwed the next guy by shorting him things he ordered and it was clear they were wrong. Trying to cut corners and pocket extra where they can. Now if the single plate of food wasnt $50 + I wouldnt care about a couple bucks but when youāre charging an insane price at a food truck with little overhead, donāt mess up and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreComing from out of town my fiance and I wanted to see what all the hype was! Arrived around 10pm on a weekday and was surprised to see so many people out. The workers are very nice we had a few questions about the menu items and they were kind enough to explain it to us. They have 2 trucks. The plates they served was pictured and displayed on their truck the prices were on the photo but some wore off. They served drinks canned soda, red bull and water bottles for $1.
We ordered a side of fried rice and a filet mignon (medium well) plate the total was about $25. We wait about 35 to 40 minutes for the food.
Didn't really mind the wait because we understand it does take time but when we go our food we were kind of disappointed. There was nothing special and definitely had better else where. The fried rice was pretty plain probably won't even call it fried rice (no mixed veggies and very minimal eggs if any). The filet mignon was very chewy the veggies were okay. They had many sauces, garlic butter seems to be the most popular (sold out didn't get to try). There were so many regulars and they were smart to call ahead to just pick up their order.
Overall we felt it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat food, amazing flavors. Came to this spot for a late night meal after the LA fair. We were starving. You know the typical expensive fair food that taste terrible. Well, we stopped off and ordered our food while we were on the road. It took them 25 min to complete the order.
The serving size was enough to fill you up with a lot left over. The fried rice was so flavorful, and the veggies cooked perfection. The salmon that I ordered though was a tad bit overcooked. The consistency of chicken breast but must say the flavor was amazing.
The ginger sauce and garlic butter just puts this meal over the top. My kids want to eat there tomorrow. They ordered the chicken and steamed rice. The price for my meal was about 15dollars each meal. Not a problem being that the food was quality. I cant eat fast food everyday but what I can eat, is a great food touch...
