Alfred Coffee — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Had been wanting to visit Alfred's for the longest time and I finally did on Sunday. There wasn't a line when we arrived so we were able to order right away.

We all got different drinks.

I ordered a small (16oz) signature vanilla latte - Vanilla bean syrup layered with milk and finished with Alfred Espresso

My friend got a small Iced matcha latte with oat milk - Shade-grown matcha blended with ice and water."

And my sister ordered a small Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte with oak milk - Real pumpkin, single-origin spices, and a touch of rich brown sugar

I was given a 24oz drink instead of a small 16oz. No complaining from me though since I did not get charged for the bigger size. The cashier was friendly and took our orders quick. We all got our drinks at different times and it had started to get really busy.

Purchased coffee and went out to patio. Put coffee cup on patio table, which immediately proceeded to fold up (these are metal folding tables), and coffee went straight to the ground, spilling completely. The staff was neither sympathetic nor apologetic. And, even though they replaced the coffee - allegedly "For Free" - my credit card statement shows two consequent charges in the identical amount - they charged the credit card for the replacement (free) coffee - without even being given the actual card. Got a tall lavender latte and I’m sorry to say it tasted like soapy/milky water. I had my husband try it and he agreed. I usually never throw out a coffee even if it’s not made to my taste! I ended up going to the barrister and double checking how many shots of espresso were in it (we had asked for 3) and getting more syrup to see if it would help improve the taste of all. Every time I interacted with the barista she looked annoyed and as if she was doing me a favor. So even though I wanted to ask her to remake it, I didn’t feel like I could.
