I walked in, through all the chairs and stuff and up to the register on the other end of the store, and without saying hi, the cashier says flippantly “can you actually shut the door?” Looking back I noticed that someone who had opened it for me had opened it too taught and it stayed wide open. I went and did it (it was kind of far, like the store is sort of a big hallway with the register all the way at the end, so maybe 30-60 awkward seconds to walk back and do it), but I found it weird…like I’m not employed there, why am I doing a service for the store especially if it’s your door that’s malfunctioning? Not to mention I was just trying to order something then leave so it would've been closed a bit anyway? It just rubbed me the wrong way. Like I'm not going to get my order taken unless I fix your store up? over something I didn't even do? Lol 😅 The place was kind of dark and uninviting , and I didn't have any incentive to try the food, so I just left. Seemed like it would've been good! Oh well, don’t have your customers doing unnecessary...

Must admit first time they had a smashed entrance with a temporary chipboard front door, made me a tad nervous as when eating raw fish you want the feeling of quality & high standards.

In reality no worries needed. I got the large with 4 fish options and did albacore, salmon & shrimp. The temp of the fish was perfect. I found my perfect mix of dressing with ponzu & honey miso.

I complimented the aforementioned with seaweed salad, crab, green onion, pineapple and mandarin. It would be rude not to get the icecream macaroon sandwich so seem to leave with one each visir!

It was so good I went back the next night with the new front door and had a perfect take two.

Yes! Revisited Feb 18, 2023: Same great spot. Get the large. It's the equivalent of two Sushi cut rolls, and then some, all for around $18. Totally worth the money. The value is definitely there.

Oh yes, you can definitely smell the freshness when you walk in the door. The whole place will make you smile. Really friendly staff, and the food is absolutely delicious.

So as you approach the counter, you can tell that everything is clean and orderly, very tidy. It's the kind of presentation that makes you have full confidence in the quality of items on the menu.

I will most certainly continue to be a regular customer here. There is a small parking lot in the back, but usually street parking is a...
