Bulgogi Bliss: A Korean BBQ Fusion You Won't Want to Miss!

This isn't your typical KBBQ experience. While they definitely showcase the deliciousness of marinated bulgogi, they've cleverly incorporated it into some familiar favorites, creating something truly unique. The bulgogi burger had flavorful bulgogi nestled in a soft bun with onion, chives, and carrots. The bulgogi tacos were tender, with marinated beef paired with fresh onion, carrots, peppers, and chives was a revelation. Beyond the burger and tacos, Assa also offers a range of other dishes all looking delightful and fairly priced. While I didn't get to try everything (sadly!), I heard rave reviews about the bulgogi burger and that was the first pick. The menu is creative and exciting, offering something for everyone, whether you're a KBBQ aficionado or just looking for a delicious and unique meal. The atmosphere of the pop-up was also fantastic. Ken and Savannah are incredibly friendly and helpful. This is Korean BBQ fusion done right....

If I could give Assa K-Food a standing ovation, I would. This place isn’t just serving street food—it’s delivering soul food, memory-making food, next-level, “where-have-you-been-all-my-life” food.

We came for the bulgogi beef and were absolutely blown away. Every bite was a flavor explosion—sweet, savory, tender, and perfectly marinated with love and intention. You can taste that it’s made from scratch. It’s not just a dish—it’s a masterpiece.

I’ve eaten a lot of bulgogi in my life, but this? This was hands down the best I’ve ever had. It’s the kind of meal that makes you pause mid-bite, close your eyes, and wonder if you’re dreaming.

Do yourself a favor and run, don’t walk. Assa K-Food is a hidden gem that deserves a line around the block. Thank you for the flavor, the care, and the unforgettable experience. We’ll be back—again and again and again.

for good korean food, i either have to go to koreatown or my moms house - both are far from santa monica. one day, as i was stuck on lincoln (classic), i saw a korean food banner in front of the venice whole foods and i had to give it a try. i love good korean food but something i love even more are kind people serving good food from the heart. the owners here are just that. i’m so happy to have found a place near my house to get my korean fix! the food was insanely authentically delicious - i’m coming back over and over again to try everything on their menu! if you have never tried korean, try it here! if you are craving korean and don’t want to drive to koreatown, this will perfectly...
