I REALLY want to give this place 5 stars because the food was great, the place was clean & COVID precautions were all being taken, and the prices are really unbeatable. However, we went here two different times, and both times, they got our order wrong. The first time, we ordered 5 fish tacos, and we ended up with two, and the second, we ordered fried fish tacos but received grilled. So check your order before you drive/walk away.
That said, the fried fish tacos are FANTASTIC. They really are a steal for the quality, and were we living in the area permanently, we would regularly go (despite issues with ordering) just for these. I love this place. It was our first time & they were so helpful & patient with all our questions. The fish taco blew my mind. My bf got the shrimp & said it was delicious but we are both gordos & too hungry, so we wolfed them down & forgot to trade. We got a shrimp ceviche & shrimp cocktele to go & they gave us a mountain of tostadas, ketchup, hot sauce, & limes to take with us. We smashed everything at the beach later & it was still so, so good. I can't wait to go back & try the crab tostada & have another fish taco. Oh, we also got the asada & carnitas. Great local stand a mile off venice beach. Some of the best tacos I've had- comparable to street tacos I've had in Mexico! Very good prices too, only $1.50 per taco and $5 for a burrito. This is a way better deal than anything else you'll get near Venice Beach. If you want some cheap, authentic street tacos near Venice Beach this is your place.
