First time here in over 15 years. They had a makeover and the place looks very updated and hip now, like a cool Burger Joint should be. This popular local favorite Burger Joint has been around for a long time. Basically, it's 2 guys cooking, 1 guy cleaning & helping the cooks and 1 guy manning the till, while also giving the orders at the Pickup Counter so they're pretty busy. Line was 5 deep, 5 tables full when I came late after 10pm. I went with the Triple Monster Cheeseburger and a Large Orange Bang👌 WOW, this burger was pretty delicious and hit the spot. Wasn't sure if I could eat it all, I don't have an appetite like I did when I was in My 20's. If you want something to fill you up, this would be a GO TO, for sure! Everything looked great, I was eyeing other people's meals and the pics on the menu above, lol. Restaurant is clean. Cool pics in the front dining room which are pretty much chairs facing the street and a counter wrapping around to eat. Then, there's a small dining room with about 10 tables. There's an outdoor patio. Restroom is out back separate from the main building. It looks nice and remodeled. They saved on using the old sink, I don't blame them for trying to save money for their small business. It DID stink like a Homeless person had been doing Bird Baths so, that makes sense that when I asked for a token for the restroom, the guy said he would meet me out back by the restroom to unlock it for me. Customer Service was above par. Guys were very friendly, just very busy. They never broke character even though they looked tired like they had worked all day. Very professional. I did see someone eating outside in their patio but, he looked homeless. GOD BLESS HIM. Parking Lot is in the back, enter on Sawtelle. Room for about 25 cars. Parking Lot looks sketchy like DTLA but as with any place, just pay attention to one's surrounding. Lots of Homeless in the area but, looks like this place doesn't have the problems associated with Businesses that deal with lots of the Homeless Issues. Typical Local Spot Food- Burgers, Mexican Food, Breakfast Items. I'll definitely come back in the future. Gotta hit cardio all week now, Lol

After driving past this dive burger shop for the past 20 years, we thought we missed our chance to try it when it burned down a few years ago. However during the pandemic it re-opened and we finally decided to give it a try. It matched our expectations to a tee. Meaning it wasn't great, but it was serviceable. When a place has been opened over 20 years, there’s obviously a lot of history associated with it. They proudly display that history on the wall with pictures and clippings of the history of the area. We ordered a chili cheeseburger with plain fries and a double chili-burger with chili fries. Note: the cheeseburger comes with mustard, tomato, pickles and chopped raw onions. First the good: everything was made to order so it was hot off the grill. They give you just the right amount of chili. Enough to get your hands dirty, but not enough to get all over your clothes. Also, no beans in the chili, just as God intended. The patties are 1/4 pound so there is some heft to them. There is a nice outdoor covered patio to eat in. Also the staff was nice. Someone, possibly the owner, even offered to bus our tray for us. Now the bad: the chili tasted like Hormel. Not much spice at all. They charge $1 to refill your soda. The burger also was just meh. Not bad, but not great either. I can totally see coming here after a night out drinking. Then it would be perfect. But sober, it was just mediocre. Are we glad we tried it? Definitely. Will we be back? Probably not.

Stopped in for my first time last night because I live extremely close. Know they used to be 24 hours prior to the fire but now they are open early and close very late. It’s a traditional to go oriented spot where you can also dine in. They have traditional American and Mexican options and the free parking lot attached which is a real bonus. Pricing is also fair and the menu is large. They are most known for their Chili Cheeseburger so I wanted to try that for my first time. I will say it was seasoned well and the chili has a great taste. I don’t order that often so it was nice trying it again. The patties are not very large, almost the size of In-N-Out but a little larger. We also ordered the BLT with Avocado and overall it was OK because there was not much bacon in it compared to other places that I’ve been to recently. If they would add more bacon and Dijon, it would make it much better. We also ordered the french fries which I would suggest splitting one order because two orders is really a lot of fries and one would really cover enough for two people.
