I’m really concerned about the amount of people out here who clearly never had a decent bagel. The first time I went was their opening. Barely got any cream cheese on my bagel as you can see. Posted about it on socials, and then they tried to put the blame on me saying I asked for a light spread. Classy. Not that anyone would know but I would NEVER ask for less of anything. Regardless of that I thought the everything bagel was alright.
BUT I didn’t want to review them based off that since opening days can be hectic. So I went back 3 weeks later. Here I’m sitting with pretty much no one around. Ordered the same thing plus an iced coffee (they were out of them last time). The bagel was barely toasted. And overall way too chewy. Not like “ooh tasty chewy bagel!” chewy. Just a hard chew. Plenty of cream cheese this time around though!
Iced coffee pretty bad. They asked “cream and sugar?” and I said yes if they had oat milk. Barely any milk as you can see. And NO sugar. I came back in to mention this. Oh we only do sugar PACKETS. OK. SO WHY DIDN’T I GET ANY?! Ugh. I’m sorry for the mess but yeah don’t get the coffee regardless cause it wasn’t good. I know it’s not a cafe but still just go across the street if you really want coffee at Go Get’em. Honestly don’t get anything. I rather make the trek to Maury’s. No fuss and quality. Or even go as far to head to Belle’s Bagels in Highland Park. And if you really REALLY want to wait in line like a hipster then go to Courage. I think trying this place twice was good enough to make a judgement call. I hope y’all realize I mentioned plenty of other options to check out. I just wish this one...

Boichik Bagels (est 2025) is a new SF based bagel shop that specializes in making and selling bagels. They are located on Hollywood blvd and Vermont ave l in Los Feliz.
I arrived as a first time customer and as soon as you stepped inside you can smell the aroma of bagels being made in their huge oven. This shop offer 16 variety of bagels ($3.25 each) and 13 spreads ($1.5-$2.50) for their customers. In addition, they have coffee, fish & salad, specials and veggies as well as some merch.
I had a Cinnamon bagel with strawberry jam and plain cc and an Iced Coffee. Both food and drink were decent in texture and quality. I wish it would blow my palate but sadly it did not. Furthermore, it’s quite disappointing they don’t have a Strawberry cream cheese on their list. That in itself is a downside, however, they make it up with other specials. Every NYorker expect that a bagel store should have that type of spread. So I improvised with what they have.
Anyways, shop’s interior and exterior layout were spacious with a relaxing atmosphere. Staff, Paul E., was cordial and professional. Service was excellent. Prices seem reasonable. Finding a parking spot was easy.
Overall, this is a decent bagel shop; honestly it ain’t the same as NY bagel. That’s the hard truth...
Read moreIt's less than an hour from their closing time, hence they're sold out of lots of stuffs on the menu. Not hindering me from trying, I went for their Pumperthingle bagel, which was them of marrying pumpernickel and everything bagel (how genius!). Doubtlessly, giving a try on their Pink cream cheese, recommended as it's more tangy and apparently one of their popular one even in NYC. Ordering online was surely recommended to skip the line. Mine was ready in less than 10 minutes.
I had mine toasted, and would say it's decent but I couldn't call out anything distinctive from other favorite ones in town, either the bagel or the cream cheese. I added almond butter on my bagel and felt that I should've requested it on the side as I could barely taste it and it's kinda pricey adding $2 for the quantity.
Overall would say worth trying if you're curious. Plus point they had plenty of seats in front of the outlet, which most of my other favorite bagel places in town didn't...
