BEST of the Very BEST hands down 🙌🏼. I’ve been following this shop owner and his associates from the very beginning. Not only are they ALL very knowledgeable, expierced, and true artist, but they’re also true professionals who take the time to sit with you, go over what you’re looking to do, and give you professional advice based on experience and expertise. When my daughter turned 18, this was the one and only tattoo shop that I felt comfortable enough taking her to because it was her first tattoo and I had to make sure that it was a positive experience for her (unlike mine 40+ years ago in DTLA 😵‍💫☠️🤣). Lastly, shop owner (Bryan Burk), is the most genuinely nicest person you’ll ever meet, a true gentleman and professional who puts his employees first and makes sure they are happy and taken care of before anyone else as it should be. Such an amazing tattoo shop. I have worked with two artists there so far and both of my experiences were top notch!! Both Camille and Dan were very professional, patient, and down to earth while helping me with my custom designs. Camille freehanded a drawing of “LA” worm letters directly onto my skin. The tattoo is sharp and delicate and turned out great! With Dan, he offered me a variety of Berber designs for my throat blastover and then made custom Borneo drawings for the rest of my neck. Dan’s black work is peerless.

Everyone else at the shop is really nice and I would be honored to get tattooed by each and every artist there! i’m 5 sessions into a back piece/body suit from candi kinyobi. candi is one of the most thoughtful and considerate people i’ve met. add in the fact that she’s a great communicator and exceptional artist and you get a pretty special experience as a client. dark horse has done an incredible job of cultivating a welcoming environment with great energy and people (and artists) working there as well. in the 40ish hours i’ve spent in the shop, i’ve had nothing but positive interactions with artists and clients, and seen nothing but quality work from everybody there. candi has also been such an enjoyable person to spend so much (painful) time with. couldn’t have found a better artist or shop for this piece. and trust, i’ll be coming back for more work from her and the many other talented artists...
