Bopomofo Cafe — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Driving from Vancouver, BC, Canada where we have a surplus of delicious boba (bubble) tea shops, Bopomofo was one stop I wanted to make since it offered drinks normally not found in Vancity. We ordered the assam milk tea and ba-la matcha latte, both with 25% sugar. It did not disappoint! The ba-la matcha latte was light, refreshing, and the real guava nectar was so pleasant. The customer service was friendly and attentive and informed us that their teas are on the lighter side so offered to make our drink more sweet after, if needed. This location is located on the 3rd floor of the Ovation Hollywood Mall and offers free parking for orders $15. I wanted to grab another one......

Nice spot for bubble tea and sweets right inside of ovation Hollywood mall on Hollywood walk of fame. They’ve got lots of options and the level of sweetness and etc is customizable. Would recommend getting it less sweeter than 100% sweetness since it can be quite sweet. Lots of tasty, colorful options that are perfect for quenching your thirst as you stroll the Hollywood walk of fame. Drink is quite pretty so it’d make for a good social media post as well. The teas we got were super light and refreshing. All the posters advertise that the cafe uses 100% natural ingredients. The menu is small which seems to allow the shop to focus on providing quality drinks. I was really impressed with how bright the flavors were in the teas. My only complaint is that some of the toppings seemed to be lacking in flavor. The egg pudding was a little lackluster and lychee was subpar, however the boba was amazing.
