Madame Tussaud’s Hollywood location provided an afternoon trip full of captivating fun and star-struck celebrity sightings for the 360 Magazine LA team. In each themed room- from a 90’s-inspired bedroom adorned with New Kids on The Block sheets and Nirvana posters, to an old Western Salon outfitted with rough-and-tumble cowboys, to the spooky Illusions of Horror corridor–Madame Tussauds created an out of this world, vibrant atmosphere. We were enthralled at we walked from exhibit to exhibit, greeted by our favorite stars such as Johnny Depp, John Travolta, and Betty White.
Madame Tussaud’s themed zones included the A-List Party, Pop Icons, Spirit of Hollywood, Join The MARVEL Superheroes, Making Movies, Country Western and Modern Classics exhibits. Further, the wax museum features several immersive experiences including the VR Virtual Room, The MARVEL 4D Film, Illusions of Horror, The 90s are Here!, and the Jimmy Kimmel Live Experience.
One of the most realistic features of Madame Tussaud’s Hollywood location is their new Ariana Grande wax figure. Grande is dressed in the outfit she donned in her “Rule the World” music video, though the set behind her is from her “Seven Rings” music video. All of the details on Grande–down to her unique tattoos and signature high ponytail–were molded to perfection.
The staff at Madame Tussauds, including Marketing Manager Helen, were very knowledgeable about the museum’s figures and attractions. After touring three floors of our favorite celebs, the 360 Magazine team headed into the 4D Marvel show. The short film was immersive and vivid–allowing us to smell, feel, and taste the sensations of our favorite heroes, including The Incredible Hulk, Spiderman, Captain America, and more. On our way out, we visited the gift shop, which was stocked with fun souvenirs of our memorable afternoon.
Madame Tussaud’s Hollywood location is a perfect afternoon activity for LA locals and tourists alike. If you came to Hollywood for celebrity sightings, Madame Tussauds guarantees that you can meet your wax-figure favorites and snap selfies with LA’s A-listers. The Museum followed all COVID-19 guidelines and social distancing protocols, so guests can safely enjoy...
Read moreThis place was purely amazing, and definitely a breath of fresh air, especially how horrible Hollywood is looking these days. If you want a discount on your tickets, I recommend buying them in advance off sites like SamsClub or your bank. You’d be surprised at the discounts offered. We purchased the marvel showing and I’d highly recommend as I didn’t know it came with a water display and bubbles as you’re watching the movie you’ll be immersed in the action of the movie which is only 15 min long. You can expect to spend about 1 1/2 to 2 hours at the wax museum as there are three floors of wax figures. Definitely creepy but interesting to see a lot of props are available for you to use to take pictures. My favorite floor was the 90s floor which had a lot of memorabilia and icons from this generation. However, one of the floors which had Marilyn Monroe on it is definitely for the older crowd, my boyfriend had no idea who those people were. You start off on the third floor where you get to record an interview of you with Jimmy Kimmel if you would like. I believe if you purchase any interviews or videos or photo displays there is a nominal fee between seven to $17 so I would recommend bringing a fully charged cell phone to take photos. They have a gift shop at the end of your tour after the marvel display, which has a lot of unique souvenirs. However, after the primary wax museum gift shop you exit through a more generic...
Read moreThe sole purpose of why I went was to see Selena Quintanillas wax figure. I was completely amazed and in awe of all the other celebrity figures that were in the building. It contains 3 levels of non stop amazing figures the best part is that there's nobody there to interfere with you or the interactions with the people the place is monitored but you have full reign to take up close pictures and to touch the wax figures and have amazing shots some of them even have props that way you can really make your picture come alive and once I did finally see my Queen I was in heaven big shout out to the museum for making such an iconic figure. They did such a good job on every figure and the place is well kept, clean and neat it's a bit crazy because you keep bumping into the figures that you think that are people and so that was a little freaky but cool at the same time, we were there towards the end of day and they never once rushed us or made us feel like we needed to hurry up and get out so please take your time but don't take to much time. I highly recommend going to see the museum if you're visiting Hollywood definitely worth it and potentially buy your tickets online it'll save...
