The Hollywood Wax Museum is one of those classic tourist attractions that’s just pure fun. Located right on Hollywood Boulevard, it’s hard to miss with its big, flashy exterior and prime location near the Walk of Fame. If you’re looking for something lighthearted, quirky, and totally Instagram-worthy, this is a spot you’ve got to check out. It’s been around since 1965, so it’s kind of an icon in its own right, drawing visitors from all over who want to get up close and personal with their favorite celebrities (well, their wax versions at least!).

When you step inside, you’ll find wax figures of some of the biggest stars from movies, TV, music, and pop culture. The cool thing is that the museum is set up so you can interact with the figures, not just look at them. Want to take a selfie with Marilyn Monroe or pose like a superhero next to Spider-Man? Go for it! The museum encourages it. Unlike some other places where the displays are roped off, here you can really get into it and have fun.

The figures range from super realistic to slightly over-the-top, but that’s part of the charm. You’ll see Hollywood legends like Elvis Presley and Audrey Hepburn, modern stars like Tom Hanks and Scarlett Johansson, and even fictional characters like Frankenstein. It’s a great mix, so whether you’re into classic cinema or today’s blockbusters, you’ll find something you love.

One of the best things about the Hollywood Wax Museum is that it’s perfect for families, couples, or even solo travelers. Kids will love the interactive elements, and adults can appreciate the craftsmanship and nostalgia. Plus, it’s indoors, which is a big win if you’re visiting during a hot LA day or need a break from walking around Hollywood Boulevard.

Now, here’s a tip: The Hollywood Wax Museum is part of a group of attractions. If you’re up for more, you can grab a combo ticket that also gets you into places like the Guinness World Records Museum or Ripley’s Believe It or Not! nearby. It’s a good way to make the most of your time in Hollywood without spending a fortune.

As for practical stuff, it’s super easy to get to since it’s right in the heart of Hollywood. There’s plenty of parking in nearby lots, but like most spots in LA, it can get pricey, so be prepared. The museum itself is fairly small, so you can easily see everything in about an hour or two. It’s also a great rainy-day option (rare in LA, but hey, it happens).

A pro tip for visitors: Go earlier in the day if you want fewer crowds and better photo ops. It can get pretty busy later in the afternoon, especially on weekends.

In short, the Hollywood Wax Museum is a fun, laid-back way to spend some time in LA. It’s not going to rival the Getty or the Griffith Observatory in terms of cultural depth, but if you’re in the mood for something playful and unique, it’s totally...

Hey it was fun and kind of creepy. Many of the wax figures look realistic. There's a scary themed side that was the best of the entire thing. The black wax figures were totally off. You could tell they struggled to get the skin tones and hair textures right. I hear the actors portrayed actually sign off on them so I won't complain lol.

Denzel Washington was unrecognizable, Morgan Freeman, Will Smith, and Eddie Murphy were a mess in my opinion. However, Snoop was on point and Tupac spooked us he looked so real. Kevin Hart looked short lol.

I was saddened by Robbin Williams wax figure. He was one of my childhood heroes.

John Cena and the Rock was great. Drake was 100% & Bruno Mars he was good. Halle, Rihanna Jennifer Anniston loved food. Brad Pitt was a mess did look like home to me.

Clint Eastwood was alright. But we really did enjoy it. We spent about an hour or so inside. We got a package deal. Wax Museum and Guinness book of world records.

Prices were: $20 per person for ages 3-11(don't quote me on the beginning age) & $30 per person for 12+. for entries to birth attractions....

This was a rough one to rate because value has to go into account. I happened to get tickets in a fundraising auction that also got me into the Guinness World Record museum across the street. At the regular $25.99 price, I probably would have given this only 2 stars. BUT there is an option that is $35 for both museums PLUS the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum (which I didn’t go to) and that is a much better deal... so this review assumes you did that.

The wax museum was fun. There are a lot of cool scenes and a lot of selfie stations with props (that one can only hope are thoroughly washed). The wax figures themselves aren’t nearly as good as what I remember at the NY Madame Tussaud’s. Those were unreal and these are more like... oh... I see it. But it was still very fun and the scenes were cool. It definitely has that janky charm. You’re not going to spend more than an hour here so that’s why you should really hit all three of...

If you have friends who are sad or depressed, this is a great place to bring them for a quick distraction and make them strike goofy poses with wax sculptures of popular celebrities for an hour or two. Although a bit pricy for some, for about 30 bucks you can buy the combo that lets you see this one and the Guinness displays, which in my opinion are pretty worth it. Really well set up in terms of lighting and presence. Really allows you to take in some of these in a very impressive way. I would recommend buying online, especially during corona times. Children have a reduced fee, and you don’t need to pay for anyone 3 years old or under. Parking is tricky during weekends but easy if you come during the week. Otherwise prepare for a subway/bud adventure haha.
