Double Cheeseburger / 2 patties, grilled onions, American cheese, pickles, house sauce - 5⭐! Crispy Fries with House Sauce + Jalapeno House Sauce / 5⭐! Salted Caramel Dipped Ice cream Cone / 5⭐!
The Win-Dow Hollywood is part of a small but growing East LA local chain with a very admirable core value of offering amazing, fresh, high quality food at extremely reasonable prices. They have carried on that tradition with their newest location in the heart of Hollywood. It is exciting to see a high quality, exceptionally delicious double cheeseburger for less than $10!
Prices aside, the food is excellent. The burgers are smash burger style. The meat comes out crispy and full of flavor and paired with the melted American cheese, house sauce and pickles, it is a burger I could often eat. They have crispy fries which are cooked in a light oil. I like to dip my fries so I tried both their house sauces, regular and jalapeno.
I am a burger aficionado so it is quite hard for me to deviate at a place like The Win-Dow, but I've heard from reliable sources that their other menu items are equally good and have prices that match the value of the burgers.
I have been to most of the other locations and one thing I always regret not trying are their dipped cones. I did not make that mistake in Hollywood. I tried the salted caramel dipped soft serve. It was amazing!
As for parking, Hollywood can be a tough place to park. I recommend using the parking in their location. At the time of my review, The Win-Dow wasn't able to validate parking. But it is still worth it since street parking is not easy to find and the area is often full of tourists.
They have lots of outdoor patio space and the complex they are a part of has plenty of seating. The staff is fast, friendly, and great at making awesome food. If you are visiting Hollywood or if you live in the area, try out The Win-dow. They are a hidden gem that more people need...
Read moreWow! I have been waiting for the opportunity, meaning in the area, to try these sandwiches. First let's talk about the beautiful weather. Clear sunny sky, cool breeze, and just a hint of heat. Now I arrive at Ovation and walk to The Win-Dow. It's located on the northwest side of the venue, or in the back where the views are spectacular. I placed my order of one cheeseburger and one chicken sandwich to go. The staff is energetic and friendly. There were quite a few people dining and just relaxing in the many tables and chairs made of various materials including rock. I waited a while to hear that my order was up. I was glad that it took a while because I assumed that meant my sandwiches were cooked to order. No old or stale food is on the menu here. I was right! The sandwiches were hot and the buns were soft. I couldn't resist the beautiful vibe and the opportunity to sit outside and try something new. I cleaned up my hands and space and took the first bite of my chicken sandwich. The crunch of the batter and veggies was like music and the combination of flavors in the slaw gave me "that moment." The moment you know it was a really good decision. The sandwiches are small so eating both gives me no shame. The burger was good especially the sauce, but the chicken sandwich is the way to go. The sauces are both original and delicious. I look forward to returning in the future to recreate the same or...
Read moreI enjoyed the chicken sandwich. The burgers are also pretty good. The prices are decent. Honestly, it is a cool burger spot. However, the customer service could be better. My name was called for my order, so I walked up and it was not my order. Then instead of being explained nicely and with kindness I was told in an angry manner that what was I doing. I expressed that I heard my name called and I was minding my business so I did not know someone else was there for an order. I walked up to grab the order and the person made me feel like an unsatisfied customer after scolding me and telling me that I should not be walking up for my order even though he called the name to my order. I did not enjoy this experience and it is a bummer because in the past I have had good experiences. This experience, however, was not the best. I would appreciate more kind employees, especially as a customer. Not everyone is aware of certain things and a more kind explanation rather than a scolding and angry approach. Also, orders should be called once they are at the window so customers do not believe there order is ready when it is not. I even left a tip, and was...
