Cake House — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Don’t know any other bakery that does classic items so well. Their red bean bread has the best texture, I don’t like crushed creamy ones but the ones with whole bean in them. I bring it home and put a think slice of French butter. It’s so good like that. Their round Mochi red bean balls with walnuts are great as well. I also love their sandwiches and take them to my clients often.

Their fresia cake-it’s fresh cream with strawberries. Not too sweet yet it melts in your mouth. Their dark chocolate cake is another winner. If you like non sweet light fluffy Asian cakes, Cakehouse is the best.

What Cakehouse does best is the customized cakes. Options are endless. I’m always blown away by their beautiful cakes. One time my friend had a Hermes cake which was so beautifully done. My neice loved the disney themed cake. Don’t know who comes up with the ideas but they’re very creative. The valentine heart piñata cake was also a huge hit. The only cake I didn’t like was the Christmas log cake, it was just too creamy.

This was the finest berry cake I have ever eaten. I ordered a 2 tiered cake for my daughters engagement diner party . The staff was sooo nice even though we had a bit of a language issue( no big deal) the delivery was spot on time . The cake was butter cream and berries not too sweet as Americans tend to make , the berries where fresh and it was beautiful to top it off. I’m from Paris France and I don’t need to elaborate on the fact that I’m extremely picky. I never eat cake anywhere because I find them mediocre at best. But my guest and myself went for more . 3/5 stars because I didn't like the flavor I got, it was some chocolate sobro? sombo? I don't even know, chocolate something haha. The bread was very delicious with its soft and fluffy texture; I really liked it. The chocolate though, was an absolute tastebud killer, wasn't for me. I wouldn't mind coming back if my granny was down for another adventure, but I don't see myself eating here too often since they dont offer vegan options. I'm new to the lifestyle, but committed.
