Cheba Hut "Toasted" Subs — Restaurant in Los Angeles

SERIOUSLY One of My BEST finds in 2024!!!! Happy New Year with HAPPY ME ..TOASTING (lol) TO 2024 & HERE'S To Munching on Much Better Tasting "Toasted" Subs OMG SO YUmmmmm SO GOOD! I first saw cheba-Hut as I drove by randomly but didn't really give much attention.. then I saw a neighbors post Last Night sharing this great new place WITH PICTURES 😲 (BTW Whyyyyy ..neighbors gotta tempt me!?!?) 😆 I went TODAY.. but would've loved one to appear at my door 20 minutes after seeing that post & Pictures of toasted goodness . I woke up today thinking ..TGIF..MY NEXT thought was i'm going to that magical sammichplace..Cheba-Hut.. So around 10:45am I decided at work I needed to go online and pull up the menu so I knew what i wanted..I had told coworkers to go and it looked great.... the MENU ALONE is GOLD..I did at first think wth either they got hacked or maybe it was legit.. it is LA.. i realized i found heaven..I read the menu and kept saying out loud At work.. NO WAY.. NO no way. I'm going.. I told my friends I'd ask for my shake on the side in a bag to go and the sammich nice and toasty. Lol. You guys are GENIUS AND TOTALLY yummy and my kind of peeps! Loved the workers. So nice and funny and actually taught me about the place a bit. Love this place and congrats... liquor license coming soon too! Nice!! BEST TASTING unfortunately diabetes made me think before trying and decided it looked waayyy tooo good and i would break it in half only to realize how more than awesome that cookie really is... and had to break that again to only treat myself to 1/4.... it tasted as good as it looked... damn good cookie!!!! I usually say Food Coma Status after finishing my meal.. and totally can confirm you will be that way if you eat the WHOLE THING and a cookie.. I came by here last night for Trivia night that they host every Wednesday and the highlight of the night was the delicious Kali Mist sandwich. Keep in mind that this food place is in North Hollywood so it's public street parking with a meter at certain time but they also have a small parking garage in the back. Their trivia night does get popular so if you come at that time, you might have to wait a little longer to get your food. I went with the Kali Mist sandwich which had a spice kick to it because of the chipotle mayo sauce but it's delicious. I also got a drink and when I went to the drinks area, they have Kool aid as an option. I saw wild cherry Pepsi so I went with that instead because it's my favorite. The sandwich I got was the 4 inch size but it was so good that I also got another 8 in sandwich size for my wife and asked for bacon to be on the side. They also have some munchies option too which is the dessert and I got the Fruity Krispy one because it's like fruity pebbles or rice crispy. First off, the fact that there are only 5 stars to choose from and I need 10 for each, because this is the BESTT restaurant/sandwich shop/bar I've ever been to! I used to go to the Chiba hut at university of Oregon in college and thought it was the only one - then I saw this opened right by my apartment and I now come in here 2-3 times per week.....and if that doesn't say enough...I brought my friend from out of town here and (hes also a bartender), and we started talking to SETH, the BEST bartender ever...and we ended up becoming friends with him and sitting and ordering food for 4 hours! The only reason we didn't stay longer is because we had a concert that night and thought we were just going to be an hour!
