I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with my recent visit to the Chipotle location at 6290 W Sunset. As someone with over 10 years of experience in the food and administration business, I have never encountered such a disgusting and poorly managed Chipotle before.
Upon entering the restaurant at approximately 6:30pm, I noticed that the general manager, Zoila, was off duty and wearing a black sweater while waiting on the side of a register on her Uber. This immediately struck me as unprofessional and concerning. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was appalling, with steak found in the cheese and the counters in a horrible state. The entire establishment appeared extremely messy and neglected.
To make matters worse, there was only one employee working in the front, resulting in excessive waiting times for customers. Prior to placing my order, I inquired about redeeming a free steak bowl offer that I had on my phone. The employee confirmed that it was indeed redeemable. However, upon reaching the register, I was informed that I needed to purchase additional food to qualify for the free bowl.
Feeling inconvenienced, I politely asked the employee if I could at least receive a free drink as compensation. Initially, he agreed, but then the general manager, Zoila, interrupted our conversation and overruled his decision. This interference was unwarranted, as Zoila was not even on the clock at that time. Her knowledge of the store's poor condition and her subsequent interruption only served to further infuriate me.
To add insult to injury, when I requested Zoila's name, she immediately ran out of the store, avoiding any accountability for her actions. I found her behavior to be unprofessional and disrespectful. Additionally, her constant smiling while denying my requests led me to believe that she was being racist.
As a result of this deeply unsatisfactory experience, I have decided to sever my ties with Chipotle indefinitely. I kindly request that someone from corporate reach out to me to address this matter. I believe it is crucial for Chipotle to investigate the actions of Zoila and take appropriate measures to rectify the situation. I am deeply disappointed and feel that I was not treated as a valued customer.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing...
Read moreUnfortunately, this is not the first time I've had a bad experience with customer service on this location: 7660 W Sunset Blvd. Los Angeles, CA Thursday March 28, 2024 I went in today like 35 mins before they were closing... As soon as we entered you could tell they weren't very happy we were there and even waited a little for them to come take our order. A latino staff member on the heavier side with tattoos on his arms started taking my order, he had a very angsty demeanor and it felt as if he was rushing me, which I understood in part because perhaps they were getting ready to close and tired.. The problem was when I noticed that the scoop of chicken he gave me was less than a full scoop, so I politely asked him if it would be possible to put just a little more to complete the scoop. But his response was "it's gonna be extra bro". I then said to him that all I was wanting was to make sure I got a full portion, that I wasn't wanting double portion, and mentioned (politely) that generally, I've observed in the past that the staff just put a little more if the first scoop wasn't really full, without you even asking for it. He then pushed back and said "nah, man if you want more it's extra". I was a bit in surprised with his response and tone, because it's a very normal and fair request from a customer, yet he is acting as if I'm trying to get away with something, and it was almost like he was enjoying this power trip. I decided to not argue, so I just told him I disagreed and didn't want the bowl anymore and left the place. I figured why leave my money there.. we drove to the one on Wilshire Blvd right after that, and we noticed they made sure I had enough chicken without me even asking for it. They were so nice there and we had an excellent evening!
I'm almost sure I've had a similar experience with this same person in the past (I should've gotten his name), yet in spite of the reviews, they keep hiring people who act like they couldn't care less about their job or are in the wrong type of job... It's so sad to see. I finally decided I'm just not coming back there again. There are other Chipotles with...
Read moreOn a hot La day the end of my day was kissed with a light meal at Chipotle. Although filling the meat portions could be larger to give the true Chipotle feel that I'd imagined before trying this establishment. Hope in the near future they will do more on the meat side and lighter on the bean and rice. The order line goes too quickly for the customer to COMFORTABLY address this issue which is why I believe if it hasn't already reached the ears of those who have the power to change that part of the meal experience- i'm sure i'm not the only meatless in Chipotle attendee. It would have pleased me to give it five stars I actually did and had to withdraw due to the meat issue. Lets slow down the line for a few minutes to say I would like more of this before you can even get a word they are on the next portion. Whether designed or a oversight of over zealous efficiency either way a few more seconds shows the consumer that you care more about the value than the green at the end of the experience. Many restaurants can learn from you but the bar would be raised and hard to beat if you take an extra step and who knew it could be about "MEAT".. When you walk down the street the odor of the aroma snatches you like a siren after a long voyage at sea. Hooked and booked you clamber for the door all to get a great experience short of unbeBEEFABLE or chickanable or porkable you get the point... =) that would have you coming back sooner for more. Instead your hesitate and I for one want to see this thrive Chipotle has my wife and I's eye and stomach saying yummo in the words of the...
