Wattles Mansion and Gardens Park — Attraction in Los Angeles

Cool little spot to hang .The home is two stories with a full basement. The first-floor rooms include a paneled library, a formal dining room, a large living room with a picture window to the south gardens, two large bathrooms off the entrance hall, a servant's dining hall, and a kitchen and pantry. Five bedrooms and three baths are on the second floor.

Some of the original features in the Wattles Mansion include a black-and-white-checkerboard marble floor in the foyer, and intricately carved walnut bookcases and a hand-painted ceiling in the library. It’s a shame, this is such a beautiful park that I’ve been coming to for years almost religiously. I like to go in the mornings before the heat and before the people. Every morning as I walk my dogs through it the groundskeeper lady who drives a Honda, yells at me and harasses me about my dogs screaming I’m going to get a ticket, meanwhile my dogs are on a leash quiet and confused by the lady screaming at us at 6:30am. Very accommodating for a last-minute venue change of a wedding, our main point of contact was a dream to work with. The grounds are gorgeous, and trumped only by the view as you are on an incline just above Hollywood Blvd and can see the city of L.A. before you.
