I moved here in late July 2024 and was really excited as the apartment checked all of my boxes. I have to say, Noah, my leasing agent, was and is TRULY amazing. (also shoutout to Filipe who is always helpful).
However, starting in early October, I started hearing very loud noises at all hours of the night and morning from the unit above, which I soon found out was an Airbnb, even though it's against the lease policy. I brought this to management's attention, sent multiple emails, documented times, multiple timestamped videos, and even sent them the Airbnb listings in the building (I've found 6 listed so far, one account even has two distinct units listed at Rae). Management told me they would handle it, but it's been 8+ months now, and I'm still dealing with non-stop disruptions.
There is a new guest at least once a week...loud music, constant stomping, dragging furniture, and loud bangs that wake me up regularly around 1–3 a.m. My life here has been an absolute nightmare with the lack of sleep and the negative effects on my physical and mental health.
Management has told me it's a wood-framed building, corporate is handling it (8+ months now), and that I should call the cops if it's bothering me... but if you call the non-emergency line, you're put on hold for at least 30 min, + additional time for dispatch. By the time they come, if the noise has stopped, or if the Airbnb guest doesn't open the door, the police can't legally do anything. All of these "answers" felt like excuses, with no real impact, results, or empathy for the absolute hell I've been experiencing.
To be honest and fair, they offered me two alternative units: one was tiny, the other had an awkward floor plan and was more expensive. When I asked for a rent adjustment to cover higher costs and moving expenses, they refused, and I didn't think I should have to pay that much for something that was not my fault. Additionally, I would have had to sign a new lease for at least 13 months, which I did not want to do considering how they handled my situation. They also wouldn't let me break my lease without penalty.
The Airbnbs are a MAJOR issue here. The Airbnb guests frequently smoke weed and cigarettes in the common areas, have access to the parking lot, leave trash everywhere, and packages have gotten stolen (which I'm assuming is related to Airbnbs). I've run into four different Airbnb guests in the elevator just in the last month.
I genuinely wanted to stay here long-term, but I will be moving out since management has failed to address this issue. I feel totally ignored and undervalued. Considering how slowly the buildings have been filling up, it's puzzling why management wouldn't prioritize caring for the residents they do have who follow the rules and help create a sense of community.
TLDR; Do not move here unless you're on the top floor and you don't care about random strangers...

After spending weeks searching online for apartments, and reading hundreds of reviews about over 50 different apartment complexes across L.A., I came across Rae, and I'm so happy I did!
So many other complexes had horrifying reputations once you read through the reviews- either ants, thefts, break-ins, homeless encampments, super thin walls, and the list goes on! Given this complex is a new build, it was a little bit of a gamble.
I moved from across the country and did not have much time to find a place to live! The leasing office manager, Felipe, is the absolute best! He worked with me over the phone (for literally a few hours) to figure out exactly what I was looking for, and make recommendations on the best units that would fit my needs! Not only that, since I was unable to see the complex in person and did not want to lose my potential unit before I could move to L.A., he personally ran around the apartment complex and took a bunch of videos of all the amenities to give me a better look at everything, since there were only limited views from the website. He also went back and forth to several units to meticulously measure all the walls to make sure my furniture would fit into the units I was interested in!
When I came for my initial tour, Noah from the leasing office gave me my tour since Felipe was out of town, and Noah was just as pleasant and amazing! They were both so helpful and accommodating and made me really feel at home. I felt a real sense of community here and now after living here for 2 months, I am really happy I chose this place! When I moved in, Noah even helped me move some of my stuff up to my unit since I didn't have help from a mover- talk about going above and beyond!
All my friends always comment on how nice incredible the amenities are and I can't help but smile whenever I get home. If you're on the fence about this place, AT LEAST check it out- take it from someone who is crazy OCD about where they live and did an EXTENSIVE amount of research prior to pulling the trigger- this is the place to be!
Also, if I helped you choose this place and you sign a lease, please let them know Groves referred you...
