Chocolate Bash — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I placed a $58 pickup order through Uber Eats but canceled 50 seconds later—less than a minute—because I changed my mind. Despite this, Uber and Chocolate Bash refused to refund me, claiming that because the merchant had "accepted" the order, I was out of luck.

Uber told me to contact Chocolate Bash. Chocolate Bash told me only Uber could help. Classic runaround. Neither took responsibility.

I even asked, “Since I paid in full, can I at least get my order?” They flat-out refused. They took my money, did no work, made no food, and provided no service.

This is a scammy, unethical policy. If no ingredients were used and no effort was made, why should a customer be charged the full amount? A cancellation fee would be understandable, but charging the full price is outright theft.
